[Thursday] News Updates: I Got Shot, Mika's Back and a very Manic Monday

Welcome to Week 3 of my Patreon Community!  I'm so fucking happy you're all here with me on this crazy thing letting me share my art and adventures with you. 

I feel like this is my own weirdo version of a Public Access channel.  

It's been a crazy busy week, both here at the studio and out and about in Los Angeles.  Videos were shot, pictures were taken, including stepping in FRONT of the camera for once.

I GOT DID, PORTRAIT STYLE

Friday, I met up with the EXTREMELY talented Kelly Elaine Garthwaite to trade portraits.  This is the first time I've been in front of the camera in years.  To say I was nervous was a huge understatement.  I actually felt bad for Kelly as I knew I was being one of THOSE clients.  You know the ones--so nervous and insecure that the sabotage their own shoot because they can't just chill the fuck out?

Yup.  Public Offender #1, right here.

And yet, Kelly was the consumate pro and snapped one of the best pictures I've ever had taken of myself.  It's what I'm using across social media now, and for the foreseeable future.  

I, in turn, shot Kelly immediately after.  I'm really pleased with the way the shots came out, given that I was working with both natural daylight and studio lighting simultaneously.   You can check them out on Kelly's Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelly.e.garthwaite

A MIKA THING

Later that night, I had a meeting with Mika Mae Jones, who you may remember from my very first Patreon post "Black Eyes and Berry-stained Lips".  We discussed plans to do a photo series/magazine similar to my Katie West Does Hollywood that I released last year.  We'll probably be renting a location for a weekend near the beach sometime next month.  If all goes as planned, the book should be available before Xmas!

MONDAY MISCHIEF

On Monday, I set up shop inside the Pony Pony hair salon and design loft on Sunset and Vine to shoot a bunch of nudes with the super cute Melissa Drew (pictured above).  I'm currently shooting material for a tattoo book, a fetish book and some Zivity.com sets.  It's been awhile since I've done any real erotic work but Melissa was a great way to start back up again.  Look for the images here in the coming weeks.
