To be fair, Hazbin Hotel was doomed, even before season 1 came out as Vivziepop has the tendency to not take criticism, even constructive ones, well, and also rush through things and make her work more of a incoherent melodrama that makes their main theme as an afterthought. For example, Helluva Boss as supposed to be about Blitz and the assassination company and what kind of jobs they're are, but then it turned into a Blitz x Stolas show. Hazbin Hotel was supposed to be about redemption, but then it turned into "fuck", "shit", "bitch", "cunt", "cock", "balls", etc. etc. It also doesn't help that Adam is a weak villain, especially with how on the nose his motivation and character is. Like I get it's an adult animated cartoon show, but the excessive amount of swearing makes it obnoxious than funny. Also doesn't help that the majority of the Vivziepop fandom are literally underaged teenagers, especially those who will get hyper-fixated on any criticism on the shows, especially the poor written characters, villains and story. So, yeah, these issues are part of the problem with the show.
