Early Access - Quick Vid: Encanto

Now this is a movie I still need to watch, though I heard so many good things about it and it seems like We Don't Talk About Bruno is the new Let it Go...blowing up in popularity, getting TONS of views on YouTube, and even going as far as making it to Number Two on the Billboard Hot 100 (becoming Disney's second most successful single right behind A Whole New World). From what I can tell, the visuals are as amazing as we've come to expect from Disney, the music is as awesome as we've come to expect from Lin-Manuel Miranda, and the story has plenty of moments that range from exciting to sorrowful. I do agree that Disney made the right call in bringing Encanto to Disney+ so soon after its theatrical release-and without a stupid premium paywall, as well-as it has contributed to the movie becoming another sensation. I am also happy to know how much this movie has grown on you in the month or so since you first watched it. You clearly enjoy the movie that much more every time you go back to check it out, which pleases me greatly. How the songs get stuck in your head, how the ending went from being flawed to being pretty good...those are signs that Disney has struck gold once more. Plus, Encanto was-for you, at least-the stronger of the two Disney Animated Canon movies released in 2021 (Raya and the Last Dragon being the other one). Disney has most certainly knocked it out of the park for you with Encanto...if they can do the same with Strange World in late 2022 remains to be seen. Lastly, I am pleasantly surprised to see that this is the first time in a long while that we patrons get to see one of your completed videos before anyone else does. Looking at your archived Patreon posts, the last time we got an early access video was with the Best of Let's Watch video back in May 2020. I know not if the early access videos are going to be something that's done here either on a regular basis, occasionally, or as a one-time thing, but at any rate, I'm glad that you have once again found a way to pleasantly surprise us all. In addition, when this video gets posted on your main channel for everyone, I'm sure that they, too, will really enjoy what you have to say about Encanto! I thought it was great! Very refreshing to see a story that's so we'll contained without some big fantastic adventure or over the top villain. People have talents as an extension of who they are, some people develop talents simply because they're expected to fit a mold. Just a simple tale about the weight of expectations and how harmful it can be to separate the "gift" from the "gifted". I won't talk about Bruno.

I liked it. I felt it was about family expectations. How families tend to react if they feel you aren’t meeting the goals they think you should have. Nice.
