New Video - What the HELL are VTubers?

Comments

No shade intended to anyone who participates in V-tubing from either side of the screen, but I find myself wondering if the twenty-first century is going to be defined by people wanting to distance themselves from their "meatworld" existence, both for their own safety and for the hardships they might endure there. It's beginning to feel like the cyberpunk writers might have been right in the long run, after all...

So now we know why this video was in the works for a while (not that there's anything wrong with that...sometimes, videos simply need more time in the oven to ensure that they meet your quality standards)...because there is just SO MUCH to say about VTubers. Their rise, their growing popularity, how they have endured during the pandemic...you clearly had a lot of ground to cover, and I feel that as per usual, you did so admirably. It's clear that the VTuber phenomenon isn't going anywhere anytime soon...VTubers are here to stay, and I'm sure they will continue to provide audiences with the entertainment that they seek. I certainly learned quite a bit about VTubers in 40+ minutes...from finding out about some of the most popular VTubers, to seeing how VTubers became a global phenomenon, to learning about how they could get in trouble if they aren't careful with what they say or do. Indeed, there's more to the world of VTubers than one might think, and that was made evident throughout the video. Then, of course, we had the montage of when you judged VTubers during one of your Twitch livestreams, and commented on how cool, adorable, or weird certain VTubers looked. If you plan on doing a similar montage for whenever you do the Jehovah's Witness video (and let it be known that I will STILL wait patiently for that one for however long it takes), I'd fancy seeing how that turns out. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention how neat your VTuber model is. Yes, we've seen it on a couple of your Twitch streams, but it is interesting to see a version of your avatar that is a bit more animated than we're used to seeing. It nails a few of your trademark avatar poses, it looks as adorable as it is awesome, and I should give a medal to BefishProd for making VTuberspark a reality. I pray that this isn't the last we see of VTuberspark and that he makes a comeback in a future stream or even a future main video...or maybe he could even do a crossover with your 64-bit avatar on Saberspark 64. That would be neat to see! Anyway, as I said, I know that this video was one of the bigger ones you've made this year-your tweet implies that it was a larger video than even you expected it would be-and I know you had to push it back a few times (much to some peoples' annoyance but not mine), but I, for one, understand that sometimes, videos are really big undertakings. They can be so large that they need the extra time to live up to your quality standards...after all, a rushed and sloppy video is never a good thing. I'm sure this is also the case for the aforementioned Jehovah's Witness video...while heaven knows how many people are probably tired of seeing the multiple delays for that video, I, for one, realize that the video is certainly going to be a huge undertaking for you, and as such, I implore you to give it all the time it needs to be as perfect as it can possibly be. It may take a few more weeks, it may take another few months, but I'm sure you can give it the time and care it needs. That goes for other, larger video projects...give them the time that they need, and have everyone understand that videos must be done exactly right. I'm sure you'll continue to do all your videos-big and small-justice! I hope your weekend's going OK, Saber...I'll see you soon! =)
