Quick Vid - Chicago Party Auny

Well this was a thing. Did anybody else check it out? Lemme know, I'm curious to see what other people think

Quick Vid - Chicago Party Auny

I guess, for me, it's the feeling of "This is *animation*! More, this is ADULT animation, where you have even fewer restrictions! You could be doing almost anything, going almost anywhere, and instead you... basically imitate what you would do in a live-action sitcom. Maybe get a little wackier or more imaginative. Maybe venture out as far as 'Family Guy'." But it's all so *safe* and *derivative*, and tries to get by on being "edgy" in the sense that most of the characters won't be especially likable from the get-go- which seems to be becoming THE identifiable standard for most so-called 'adult' animation. That sense that the underlying message is: "Hey, these people are just like you! They're all terrible!" really makes my skin crawl.

As one who has lived near Chicago all my life, I know that it is a city renown for many things...the Bears, the Cubs, Navy Pier, the Willis Tower, and, most importantly of all, Portillos! (seriously, their food is amazing...I should send you some Portillos food some time!) Never did I imagine that Chicago would also be the setting for an adult animated sitcom that is based on a Twitter account. I mean, who asked for something like that? Then again, who asked for The Prince? (I know how you hated that show with a passion.) Since I don't have Netflix, I haven't seen the show myself, nor would I have been interested in seeing it, as it looks to be just another Family Guy clone, and also a Mother Up clone. Based on this Quick Vid, that's more or less what it is...a mediocre adult animated cartoon that does nothing to stand out among a crowded field. The whole "based on a Twitter account" idea is a gimmick for the show, and nothing more. The series itself seems somewhat better than Mother Up, though that isn't saying much. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find that, in typical Saber fashion, your video of the series is way better than the series itself. By the way...I have been to Schamburg a few times myself. It's a nice place...I especially dig the Woodfield Mall. Maybe when Covid is finally behind us, you should come back to the Chicagoland area and see all the wonderful things it has to offer! Well, I'm off to get ready for the Nintendo Direct. Thanks for another awesome Quick Vid, Saber, and see you soon for the next video! Take care! =)
