Weekly Update: July 19th, 2021

Hey folks! I have another busy week going on so forgive me for being short with this update. On top of that, forgive me for my lack of quality videos that actually showcase some notion of substance. I won't deny that life has been a bit of a roller coaster as of late between work and real life but all of it is manageable thankfully. I will do my best to get back on track with big uploads in August. Until then, I will be hitting up some topics that aren't as heavy but are interesting nonetheless! For this Friday, I will be discussing the odd censorship of Persian SpongeBob. It is something else lol

Mormon school year book pictures for female students be like...

As if the Spongebob franchise hasn't suffered enough, the people behind the Persian dub just HAD to go and give the series some censorship that is 4Kids levels of ridiculous! Why do the mermaids wear shirts AND skirts?! Why does Sandy wear a purple dress under her suit?! More to the point, why do these censorship-related edits look so poorly made and out of place? I thought the infamous moment in Pokemon where rice cakes were referred to as jelly-filled doughnuts was the most egregious example of censorship in cartoons, but the form of censorship seen in Persian Spongebob makes even less sense. As a spiritual successor to your video on why cartoons are censored that you made a few years ago, this video is gonna be an absolute must watch for yours truly! Also, I understand that whatever has been going on in your life lately has meant that you haven't been able to hit a lot of the bigger topics that you hoped you would have covered by now. Life can get in the way of doing the things we really wanna do, but it seems that you're trying to cope with the stuff you've been having to deal with as best you can. Know that I am most certainly willing to wait for as long as possible for the biggest topics that you currently have on the backburner to see the light of day. That, I think, is further proof of my loyalty and support of your content, which I don't see as coming to a halt anytime soon! Please take care of yourself, Saber, and I'll see you sometime soon! =)
