New Video - YouTube's Double Standards Problem

2021-06-08 18:30:16 +0000 UTCHey. I've been watching your content on YT for... I think about a year now; this is the video that got me to kick in. (Well, that and that I did some re-arrangement of other subscriptions and had a bit of slack in my budget.) What YT does, and is doing, to creators of original content is horrifically unfair, and a pretty textbook case of the danger of one company having a defacto monopoly. You have to go where you can be seen, and they can't manage all the content they have sweeping in without over-reliance on crappy algorithms over human beings. I think you're right that its going to get worse, so... here's a couple of bucks to put up against the pressures of YouTube's advertising overlords. Thanks for what you do. Hang in there.

2021-06-05 02:49:03 +0000 UTCYouTube changed my life when I first chanced upon it fifteen years ago...seeing videos of stuff from my childhood was a revelation, and over the years, I've seen all sorts of videos. Old cartoons, Nintendo-related videos, YT Poops, and, since 2020, your videos. It's been a great source of joy for me for all these years...yet even I know that YT is not all sunshine and rainbows. How they can allow ads, music videos, etc. that has sexual content while banning ordinary channels that has the exact same type of content or has sexual content of a tamer nature? As I said in the weekly update post, YT is so ass-backwards, it's breathtaking, and content creators, however big or small in popularity, are paying the price. I cannot help but feel sorry for Telepurte on account of the crap they had to go through when their channel was unfairly deleted for a short time...and all because YT seems to love to leap without looking, i.e. take action without looking more into the matter first. It's fortunate that Telepuerte got their channel back, but the fact that it happened in the first place is infuriating. Believe me, if I were running YT, I would ensure that not a single content creator would get unfairly screwed over for any reason...for I have a heart of gold, and you can bet that I know how to use it. Alas, I am but a simple, ordinary person...one who hopes that YT changes their mixed-up ways and alters the rules to make everyone happy. I cannot help but feel that if they fail to make those necessary changes, the website will implode upon itself, multiple content creators will make the jump to some other video-sharing site, and YT, as we know it, will be no more. They need to change their ways for your sake too, Saber...I want you to keep making the kind of content that you want to make. I want you to keep ensuring that your videos continue to make you, and others, happy. Believe me, the joy that your videos have brought me over the last year-and-change is immeasurable, and I wish to keep experiencing that joy from your content week after week after week. It's why I'll always support you even if YouTube tries to screw you over...as I said, I have a heart of gold, and will always stand up to you no matter what. I'll always have your back...you have my word! I'll see you next week, Saber...until then, take care! =)
