2020-12-24 03:25:18 +0000 UTCYou've certainly seen your fair share of bad and/or weird Christmas movies, as evidenced by your reviews of The Christmas Tree, Christmas in New York, and a few others. Rapsittie Street Kids, however, appears to be in a class of awfulness all its own. It has so many issues: voice actors whose talents were utterly wasted, a story that is lackluster, characters who don't leave a lasting impression, and, of course, animation and visuals that are abysmal even for an early 2000s CGI cartoon. And Colin Slater wanted to make this into a franchise?! I'm just glad that the planned Easter sequel was cancelled. We would, however, get a spiritual successor in the form of Dinosaur Island (with poor Mark Hammil getting roped into doing a voiceover for both movies because who knows why). The studio closed down sometime afterwards, and nothing of value was lost. I can see why Rapsittie Street Kids gets a rather deserving bad reputation, and why it was only aired on TV once and never again. How somebody thought this special was going to become a Christmas classic (which it eventually would...for all the wrong reasons), I do not know, but if it was still lost to this very day, we wouldn't have one more awesome video from you before we bid adieu to 2020. On that note, I would like to take a moment to thank you, Saber, for becoming the bright spot of what was otherwise a year we would all prefer to forget ever happened. Indeed, if I hadn't made the fateful decision this past spring break to discover your channel and watch all of your videos, this year would have been a total disaster for me. Feeling pretty down on account of the pandemic was uncool for me, but your videos gave me the joy I so desperately needed. Indeed, becoming a fan of you and your videos was the best decision I have made in quite some time, and I most certainly don't regret that decision. I am sure that your videos will continue to entertain us all in 2021... whatever you're planning for next year, I will be excited to check it out! Anyway, thanks for making our Christmas a little better with your Rapsittie Street Kids video, Saber. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and until next year (or the very end of this year if you have any more Quick Vids planned), take care of yourself! =)
