Some change their attitude, some their bodies and etc... Why shouldn't Kaylee be able to reflect on herself? She easily could have pushed the issue with Alex and the video like she normally would have done but she let it go and left, telling Alex if she changes her mind, to call her etc... There already was change there.

She's an obvious narcissist and people with NPD always make the lives of everyone around them hellish. And there are very few redemption arcs, because their narcissism doesn't allow them to see their own faults. Everything is everyone else's fault, and you can't fix a problem you refuse to recognize.
