SHARKNIFE SATURDAY !! 5/15/21

Whattup reyyytrons! 

SHARKNIFE FIGHT MACHINE continues to chug along, in development phase! 

It continues to grow lol. 

It has always been planned to be it's own self-contained (ish) series, one could say a "soft reboot" or basically the "ULTIMATE" version of SHARKNIFE lore & action. 

So I always knew it's not strictly "SHARKNIFE 3" (re: merely a continuation of what's come before) but it's own kinda mini-series. 

So I always had multiple books planned for FIGHT MACHINE. Maybe 2 or 3. 

Now it's turned into 6 books XD 

BUT here's the thing, 6 SMALLER books. Coz my thing now is, I want to try to get these created & out faster than I have, historically (not hard, since most my old books have taken multiple years to make lol) 

I had book 1 completely laid out, from start to finish. But I kept adding pages to already established scenes. Just adding more character, action, stuff like that right? GOOD STUFF! BUT, it made BOOK 1 grow larger. Around 100+ pages... So it began to defeat the purpose of the SMALLER issue-like books I wanted to deliver instead of BIG BOOKS. 

So I cut book 1 in half. 

It has greatly helped. Now Book 1 is even more refined, with some breathing room for some crucial moments. Book 1 will still be around 90 pages, but that's like TOTAL with covers, comics content, extra content, editorial, design pages, etc. The actual COMICS content is probably around 80 pages. 80 sounds like a lot still, but it's 50 pages less than SHARKNIFE STAGE FIRST and like 150 less than SHARKNIFE DOUBLE Z lol 

And still less than what the BIG book 1 was turning out to be. 

So this CUT IN HALF thing is good! SHARKNIFE: FIGHT MACHINE - BODY 1 (the name of the first book) will be able to come out sooner now because of this decision! 

& I in fact DO have the ENTIRE SERIES mapped out, all books. Most all plot points (there's still room to add cool shit if it works) 

Here's the list of books as it stands now: 

SHARKNIFE FM 1 - BODY 1 (Alpha)

SHARKNIFE FM 2 - BODY 2 (Omega)

SHARKNIFE FM 3 - MIND 1 (Alpha)

SHARKNIFE FM 4 - MIND 2 (Omega) - APOCALYPSE I / TOURNAMENT ARC

SHARKNIFE FM 5 - SOUL 1 (Alpha) APOCALYPSE II / GHOST ARC

SHARKNIFE FM 6 - SOUL 2  (Omega) APOCALYPSE III / FINAL

Right. So yeah that "ALPHA / OMEGA" thing -- the thing is, when I cut BOOK 1 in half, the two parts are still definitely ONE ACT of FIGHT MACHINE. Hence ALPHA is the 1st part of "BODY" & OMEGA is the 2nd part. FIGHT MACHINE follows this trend for it's whole duration. & Starting with "MIND 2" we begin the halfway point / when shit starts to really go down, the APOCALYPSE arc-- and there's also a TOURNAMENT arc in there ;D 

Oh yeah. It's gonna be fun ;) 

SO YEAH. **LOTS** of developent going into FIGHT MACHINE. I am loving it though! This is definitely the most WORLD BUILDING, etc, I've done for any of my stories. 

Well this and PINAPL. 

PINAPL is like my DRAFT VERSION of world building in the REYYY-niverse. That's why it's so quickie sketchy lookin! The emphasis is more on the vibes the world & characters give you (Speaking of, we'll be getting back to PINAPL real soon too)

SHARKNIFE is a more refined version of my WORLD BUILDING, but also with kick ass art. It's definitely ambitious! 

With that said, I've also made great strides recently in refining my own drawing techniques. Pairing down my photoshop brushes from like 200 useless shits I never use, to around 10 that I actually use commonly. 

So yeah, we're making huge strides here at COASTALVANIA HQ. It may seem glacial... Sometimes it does to me. Just truly trying to set everything up so that I can start delivering GOOD SHIT consistently, quickly. Really get this DREAM MOVING

And I have a bunch of REYYYTREON COMMISSIONS to draw still, EXTRA SAUCES to ship, and NASANGELION PINS to ship 😅😅😅 YA BOY GOT A LOT ON HIS PLATE!
