Here's some looks at in-development stuff for SHARKNIFE FM! Been busy with multiple projects, of course. But have made several breakthrus regarding SHARKNIFE and FIGHT MACHINE book 1 is now 90% laid out!

Here's a glimpse at a car chase / fight scene that occurs early in the book

This sequence has a few things I've wanted to do with Sharknife for a while INCLUDING: 1) The Sharknife itself changes shape into a surf board that he surfs around on AND 2) A nice high-speed car chase sequence for Sharknife (replete with a TMNT cameo!) -- and this sequence goes further, including a JOUSTING sequence for Sharknife vs Monster Car

A lot of FM is me putting story and context to the things I just "thought were cool" in the original Sharknife books. There are some fun rationales behind stuff like WHY the monsters attack Sharknife, where they go when they die, how Sharknife feels about it? Etc.

Ceasar (Masked up) accepting a FOOD DROP from the Guangdong for one of his deliveries. I didn't INTEND for it to look like an outright TRON homage, but I'm cool with it.

Regarding stuff I DID intend to homage, we have KNIGHT COP:

I feel like every good CITY STRIDING VIGILANTE needs some kind of authorative figure to chase after him and KNIGHT COP is here to wrangle in SHARKNIFE. He is inspired by a half man cop I enjoy. Also, knights.

Then we have this guy:

"VEK", who has been eluded to in PAST Sharknife books! Maybe looks a little *TOO* much like a Hypebeast Orochimaru? Oh well, I'ma run with it. Keen readers of Sharknife Double Z may recognize his eyes / face as something ominous that appeared in DOUBLE Z... Again I say, much of FM is me actually putting context to a lot of the "COOL THINGS" that happened in the old books (whilst not dwelling on the past)-- essentially re-packaging SHARKNIFE as a complete mythos in FIGHT MACHINE, with it's own story, but simultaneously making the old stories richer, and actually connecting some dots left unanswered in the old books.

Basically what the Star Wars sequel trilogy wishes it did.

Then there's this guy:

The VEGETA to Ceasar's GOKU, I am attempting to give OMBRA RAVENGA the backstory / buildup he deserves. Like every character in FIGHT MACHINE, he has his own arc that will be quite fun.

DARING HALLELUJAH (Ceasar's "Space Dad") and his boys. These "Fight Dummy" characters are a thing in the story, too.

SPICE CADETS make their glorious return! They are also quite involved with the story! I'm tellin ya, every page has some fun shit going on / a new character / character interaction / special move / design thing. This time the SPICE CADETS are named / modeled after the TMNT. Sharknife has a lot of "homage" in it, but I'd never call it parody. It's me filtering these things that mean more to me than GOD, and turning it into my own art.

And our boy, SHARKNIFE. I very much love this rendition of him, the shapes, proportions, energy, it's everything I want. SHARKNIFE FM had a hiccup recently when I did in fact render this piece to an awesome degree (Even posted it here) but then it got unsaved :< So I felt pretty bad for a week or two about that. But luckily, the general layout / etc of the comic was salvaged, and this piece still exists, i'm just gonna have to re-render it again :T hate doing that!

I probably mentioned that already here on the 'ron! But yeah, that upset me for a week or two. Since then tho, I have made MAD progress on FM. Like I mentioned, book 1 is 90% laid out now. And I always have multiple save files of the layouts, so I don't fear too much about losing significant progress. Gotta stay vigilant tho, WINDOWS UPDATES are the DEVIL'S DICK.

Book 1 will be in the 80-100 page range. & unlike the first two books, FIGHT MACHINE will be in STANDARD (larger) comic size, not MANGA (smaller) size.

That is kinda the format I'm gonna go with all my significant printed works going forward. GUNBRAIN (still being worked on) will also be around 80 pages. And PINAPL Book 1 (in progress) will also be around 80 pages. I have my own local printer set up, ready to go, and everything!

So yeah, SFM progress continues. I want to speak more about it but I also don't want to reveal too much!
