GUNBRAIN ! - New Mini-Comic

Up front: Thank you all for the reactions to FIGHT MACHINE so far! It's gonna be a hell of a ride! On schedule to release Sharknife FM 1-2 (chapter 2) next month in FEB !!!!!! 

Next front: I have a new mini-comic planned for ECCC 2020 (Emerald City Comic Convention, March 14-19 in my home city of Seattle!) 

It's called "GUNBRAIN" !!

Quoth my Twitter: 

"Channeling all of my #EXOSQUAD, #MUSHA and #METALSLUG dreams into #GUNBRAIN, new minicomic from me debuting at #ECCC2020 (Booth 501) !! And yes I do want to make a video game some day (zine will also go on http://coastalvania.com later)" 

Yessir that's the idea-- EXO SQUAD, MUSHA, METAL SLUG... all cartoons / properties with a distinctly MECHA aesthetic-- but in most cases, also pretty darn CUTE TOO

That's the idea behind GUNBRAIN. Following in that tradition of cutified mecha badassness.

Mine also has a bit of somewhat mature elements, and some kinda ANATOMICALLY SCARY stuff in it? Hence the "BRAIN" aspect of GUNBRAIN. But still also cute, of course. 

CUTIFIED MECHA. That is indeed the term here. I'll have to slap that on the BRANDING for the zine. 

I outlined the entire beats of the story. The goal is to knock it out at around probably 15-20 page comic zine !  Debut at ECCC 2020, then for sale online on Coastalvania.com. GB & SFM ramping up into ZINES is the true start of COASTALVANIA being my own PRINT brand as well as the PINS, etc. EXPAND THA BRAND! 

SHARKNIFE FM still shares top priority slot, as I plan on releasing a ZINE VERSION of SFM for ECCC 2020 as well. 

I try to have one or two new zine-type projects for ECCC, as it is my yearly flaghip convention, this year it will be both SHARKNIFE FM and GUNBRAIN ! 

Very excited to bust both these out.
