Friday Post #21 - Howdly doodly kinkerinos!

Week 21 of 2021 (wow) turned out to be a slow one, with a mix of Covid vaccine injections knocking me out, injury of the fingies, wrist sprains, and outside work obligations. Yeah a slow week, they can’t all be bangers!

Sapphire Safari
Sapphire content is coming along! The issue with development for Sapphire Safari is that all of our mechanics; the diorama system (staging events along a track), the ai system (monster free-roaming and reacting to other monsters positions and status), camera systems (how photos are saved, how contents of photos are remembered, along with future-proofing for photo editing later), and score judging (user flow for photo selection, scoring mathematics, image reading) are all needed to get the core loop ready for testing. In terms of where we are for all of this, it’s looking like perhaps next week we can have the mechanics almost ready for an early build.

However, once we have the core mechanics in, we can look at monthly builds again as it will all be a refinement of what we will have built. I am very excited to get this in everyone’s hands, but we want to make sure it feels the way we want it to. That takes time, and you’re all so very patient! Thank you all very much!

Elewder
Elewder is smoothing out! Not only are we implementing the brand new faces, blend shapes, and updated bodies, but we are also pushing on new content. First up is the implementation of our miniboss mechanic. This new unique enemy will be a repeat boss you will fight several times during your runs in Elewder, she will grow in difficulty and change up her patterns every time you meet her. She will be required to beat in order to unlock the boss room on the floor. We are also implementing our first attempt at our very sexy and femdom-fueled game over screens! Did you lose a run with 3 minions in a room? How about a unique animation of the Warlock being overwhelmed by all the beauties at once, pinning, stomping, and forcing him to ejaculate to be recaptured!

Lastly, we have begun the task of creating the armory-sized collection of items and spells that will power all the runs in Elewder. Each floor will contain at least one item to find and collect, these items will grow your Warlocks power but each run will never have the same loot, this should dynamically build your runs! Each item contains a short description of the history of the item, here is a sneak peek!

Alchemist's Charge

Cosmic Harem
Our prototype for Cosmic Harem is coming along nicely however this week in our constant need to create an amazing foundation for the game we came to the conclusion that the default Unity shootray functionality was not enough to deliver the experience we desired, so we set out to replace the tech with our own. It has taken a lot longer than we expected it would build that functionality with it leading to a few other bugs with how the gems interact with each other. The end result should make the game feel a whole lot smoother. Just another road bump to overcome. Expectance? Well once we have this we could be looking at our first internal test of the basic loop and experience of the game, and if we feel it covers everything-expect that same build to be here for our supporters to enjoy!
