Here's a new character / concept. I saw a short video about a guy who smiths guns and emblazons them with biblical markings & text to quote "i want any [person that practices a faith other than my own] who picks up this gun to be struck by a bolt of lightning from god hisself"
That is some real shit happening in the world and it's p ridiculous tbqh BUT it makes for some fun shit for fiction, too
So I thought about DREAM SKILLS and how it's about guns being obsolete, the artistry of swordplay-- art vs bludgeoning, etc-- and how the concept of a "God Gun" would work within it.
What's Up: The original 3 issues of Dream Skills are my old style "stream of consciousness" comics, with NOT REALLY any huge over-arching story or moral. They are just "watch these characters chill in their weird world for a while" comics.
Well actually, that's not entirely true. Issue 2 (which I'm working on right now) has a sub-story that builds Xasha up--
ANYWAY
WHAT IM SAYING IS
The idea of a "God Gun" that can penetrate the curated "Aura Circles" of the benevolent sword fighters in DREAM SKILLS is basically exactly what I need to make a story with real conflict out of the concept.
This bodes well for the future of DREAM SKILLS, which, as far as I'm concerned, is my new centerpiece comic.
