AMS v0.99D (PTB-Full) + News

Hey everyone!

It's update day! Hurrah!

Since I'm super tired at the moment and have two jobs to go to tomorrow (what's new?) I'm just going to go ahead and get to the update. But first, I want to tell you guys about some upcoming news that affects the development of the game (nothing bad don't worry)!

News:
So Xmas time is approaching rather quickly! Because of this, I have decided that I'm not going to take my usual three days off after this update to kick back and recharge my brain. Instead, I'm going to double down and do my absolute best to finish off the last few details of the SECRET PROJECT. It's so close to completion that I can taste it. I really, really want to surprise you all with it too cause I've been working quite hard on it---there's probably a good 30,000-40,000 words in it right now. 

I'm also going to make the next version of the game a PUBLIC UPDATE.

These are my Xmas presents to all of you for being amazing people. Your generosity toward me and each other is simply inspiring as all hell so I really want to give back to you and show my appreciation for all that you guys do. I hope you will find the work, worth it.

In addition to this....you may have noticed that we've reached version 0.99. BUT considering we're still at the beginning of the game, this confuses a lot of people as 1.0 indicates a completed game and anything after that are like bug-fixes and such. As a result, I'm taking the game back to what version it truly is since I didn't know how version numbers worked when I first started. Brace yourselves. The next version will be....v0.33A ((this means that the game has had 33 full versions released since the start)). Don't be confused....

When the next version comes up at XMAS...
It will be AMS v0.33A

Ahem! Now then! In the attachments you'll also be able to find the trial music for the upcoming "Apocamorphosis - Withered Snag, Upper Floor Music". Please let me know what you guys think. Remember, you will be able to turn on and off music anytime that you like. This version of the song is NOT the final version either. I just wanted you guys to give me your feedback on it. Thank you!

Bug Fixes/Changes

- Swapped the new quest Quest 4 with Quest 5. Quest 4 which was previously Smoke Signals is now Quest 5 Smoke Signals. Quest 4 is now Avenge Gu’ra’ta’s Honor. If you see any weird discrepancies let me know :D 

- You now fail Quest 4: Avenge Gu’ra’ta’s Honor if you have it and leave the Withered Snag without completing it.
 

Game Expansion

- I’ve continued work on the Secret Project; another character and half of a second have been completed which vary depending on Gender and Dominant Mood. 

- New Quest: Quest 4 - “Avenge Gu’ra’ta’s Honor.” To complete this Quest you must kill Hannah and Rold for Gu’ra’ta, the female orc in the Experimentation Cells. 

- New BAD END: Gu’ra’ta, the female orc strangling the Player to death if they refuse her offer and then fail the Agility and the Strength check. 

- The Experimentation Cells are now completed for the time being. 

Sex

- I’ve begun Globina’s (Glob’s female version) sex scenes and have written all of the Sympathy/Serious interactions too. Orientation Changes have been added to all Moods for these encounters; including the Sympathy/Serious scenarios. The “Lick Her Pussy” option for Male and Female characters is finished. I’ve removed all of the blank/unused menu choices in each category for Glob/Globa/Globina that I am not finishing for the time being. For having sex with Globina in the “Peg Her, Vaginal Sex” option, Female characters will be locked out UNLESS they have the Dildo/Toy which can be found in one of the bathroom showers at the Withered Snag. Both the Male and Female versions of this choice are uniquely scripted to take into account the Player either have sex with her or using the Dildo (if they are Female). This concludes Glob/Globina/Globa for the time being.

Patreon/Patron

- I’ve commissioned more work for the Secret Project (winter version). I also have character commissions ready to go after that for ALL characters currently in the game.

- The music commissioned for the upper section of the Withered Snag is nearly complete and will be added to the game as soon as it is.  
 

Other

- Updated the troubleshooting section in the AMS Beginning Walkthrough. The name of the AMS Beginner Walkthrough is changed to “AMS Beginner Walkthrough + Troubleshooting”.

- Added a new NPC: Gu’ra’ta, the female orc in the Experimentation Cells. You must be Serious Mood dominant to get to her initial conversation going. If you approach her with any other Mood she will insult you and threaten you. If you approach her twice without being Serious Mood dominant, she will simply ignore you and you will lose the ability to interact with her. If you speak to her as a Serious Mood dominant she will present the Player with two choices: Accept her Request, Deny her Request. If you Accept Her Request you will be given Quest 4: Avenge Gu’ra’ta’s Honor, which will also grant the Player +2 Intelligence. If you Deny her Request, you will have a Strength and an Agility Check. Failing both these checks will lead to a BAD END of Gu’ra’ta strangling the Player to death. If you pass the Agility check of 7, you will dodge her attack entirely and be granted -5 Corruption. If you fail the Agility check but pass the Strength check of 7, you will acquire a bit of damage (5-10 damage) and will be granted -5 Corruption. 

- New Quest: Quest 4 - “Avenge Gu’ra’ta’s Honor.” To complete this Quest you must kill Hannah and Rold for Gu’ra’ta, the female orc in the Experimentation Cells. You must be Serious Mood dominant and ‘Accept the Request’ in the dialogue options. 

- I’ve lowered the Experimentation Cell alternate encounters: 33 down to 25 ….and 25 down to 20% encounter rate. This will raise the chances of the Player running into one of the four NPCs.
