Hello everyone!
Just checking in with you all and seeing how things are going! I hope you're all in the holiday spirit and having a great month so far too. I'm doing okay on my end. I didn't end up making straight A's like I hoped this semester. I received: A, B+, A, A, A. Darn it all! But that's okay. I came really close! Anyway, let me know how you guys are doing! I'd love to hear your holiday plans if you have any. Now, onto the progress report!
Bug Fixes:
The bug fixes were mostly in the new rooms that I expanded on in this update, so you guys won't be seeing them until the 29th. I added a lot more tiny variables in their descriptions to make the journey feel more specific to the player's choices and actions, such as, if you defeated the horde in the Rolling Hills Redux room, if you entered the Withered Snag and talked to Hannah or not and so on. I fixed some spacing in some of the paragraphs too, added some "PressToContinue" breaks in the Zombie Bad End. Fixed this game-breaking error in the new "the Edge" room where the wait commands were all acting weirdish. Lots of little things like that.
Combat Adjustments:
There are a ton of these: Zombie health for males and females was significantly lowered (by 10 each at least), Zombie damage has been reduced a lot, loot percentage drops were raised and will likely be raised again before the update, the Male Minotaur health has been dropped from 150 to 115, lowered the chances of miscarry upon being defeated for non-maternal specialities, fixed a weapon error where you would keep the damage of a weapon after it was destroyed, adjusted the Rolling Hills Event requirements from 15 strength to 7 strength to fit the new stat changes, and 10 agility to 7 agility, significantly lowered the amount of health you lose from the event. I also added the Zombie Attacking Player Scripts, which take into account how tall you are. All new zombies have been added to the Save/Load System, and so on.
New Room Adjustments:
I talked with some of my Patreons because I was having second thoughts about dictating events based on a player's race because well, it felt like favoritism for one, and two, I felt like I would be robbing the player of their individual character that they worked so hard to create. For instance; someone might create a "weak" orc-descended character and play the game like the orc-descended character is trying to get stronger. Well, in the new room "The Edge" the game was taking race and stats into account, but after talking with my Patreons, they agreed with my stand-point, so this isn't the case any longer. It doesn't matter what your race is in the new events of "the Edge". If you don't pass the stat checks then what happens, happens. I think it works out better this way.
Health Regen:
I briefly mentioned it before but now the Health Regen scripts are working and fully implemented into the game. If you have less than full health, every 100 turns you'll have a 25% chance to gain +1, a 25% chance to regain +3, a 25% chance to regain +4, a 25% chance to regain +5, or 0 health if you don't get any of the other chances (which may be a rare occurrence). This should help with combat a bit in the long run, or while you're walking around the Withered Snag or a city area (once it's implemented).
Minor Pregnancy Changes:
So I was thinking about pregnancy and wanted to try out some very minor changes. You'll no longer know you're pregnant until turn 100 or turn 130. I also removed the notification in your player description until you hit about 2 months pregnant. The first signs of pregnancy will either come from sore breasts and the like, or at turn 130 if you miscarry (or don't). I thought this would spice it up a bit! Guess we'll see how it goes for a while.
Entice v1.5:
The backbone of "Entice" is finally set-up (and I figured out the direction I want to go with it), so all I have to do now is add the "individual scenes" accompanying them, which will sometimes benefit the player by hurting and/or instantly defeating an enemy mob, or sometimes detriment the player by knocking them up, changing their sexuality, damaging them and etc. Naturally, to use Entice, you must have a dominant mood of "Sexy" or "Sarcasm". If either of these are your dominant, then when you use Entice, you'll see a menu pop up (which will have general choices that fit both genders and choices that are specific to your gender). The menu's will look like this...
Female:
Butt
Hips
Hair
Muscles
Vagina
Breasts
Male:
Butt
Hips
Hair
Muscles
Penis
Pecks
So you can either ignore the menu entirely and just attack enemy mobs instead (like if you change your mind) or you can choose one of the options and see how a specific enemy reacts to your "enticing" movements. Some enemies will have specific preferences to how you look and what gender you are :) It should be a fun addition but it isn't complete yet, just the menu is!
Important News:
I have some important news! I've been thinking for about half a year on this particular topic now and have finally come to a decision after discussing it with my Patrons and House Spouse. Starting January (so after this coming update), I'll be moving the game to monthly public releases, and Patrons a consistent every two weeks. So Public: Monthly, Patrons: Two Weeks. This isn't a punishment! I'll explain my decision below.
Right now, I always feel like the game is slightly inching forward little by little in multiple sections every two weeks and I realize with me working on the game all by myself, that doesn't leave a lot of new content per update (no matter how big those progress reports can be)! I know this must be frustrating for some people who expect explosions of new content every single update. So this is more of a treat for everyone --- you'll get much larger chunks of new content and remastered content if I did monthly releases and that might help provide more feedback for the game. My patrons will be getting the game every two weeks as both a gift and because of an important responsibility I'll be imparting on them; the gift half is because they are donating and I want to show more appreciation for them, the other half is that every two weeks hopefully they will be bug-testing all the new content for me so that the public releases will be/look more flawless! Win/win!
This also gives me some more time to work on things that I want to complete for the game without feeling super rushed all the time. Let me know what you guys think of this! I'm very interesting in hearing opinions and/or having discussions with you all because I value your input whether you are a Patron or not.
COMING UP:
Hannah Remaster, Body Mod Item Remaster, maybe some Cow-Taur because I wasn't able to complete it yet! Darn it!
