Progress Report: Horde Battle Ready, Both New Rooms Ready, Revamped/Updated DDI, New Pregnancy Turn 690, New Enemy Drop Table, Bug Fixes.
Added 2016-12-05 17:59:02 +0000 UTCHey all!
Sorry about the late progress report, but I did mention last post that around this point in time I'm going to be drowning in projects and papers as my last week of this semester closes out. I have four more classes left next week and then I'm basically done for Winter Break! Wooo! I may have all A's this semester too for the first time ever in my entire life, here's to hoping! Anyway, so in between getting swamped with papers and projects (I just wrote a 14 page paper last night), I have been working on the game a ton, both on the new character creation process, equipment viewer and all the stuff in the title, although the two former won't be ready for a while, but I thought I'd mention them and get you guys exited about it :D MWAHAHAH!
Both New Rooms Ready + Horde Battle Ready:
So both the new rooms are ready, "Sudden Death 2" and "Rolling Hills Redeux"; they have main descriptions and lead-ups to the encounters. I did all the scripting for the rooms as well. However, I may tweak the lead-up portion of the Rolling Hills Redeux room before I release the update but that's just because I don't think it's good enough yet. What's there is sufficient though just in case I don't get around to it in time. So here are the details of both rooms.
Sudden Death 2
Basically, your character is on the run at this point. He/she is exhausted, and the Horde has spotted you and is moving in quickly for the kill. A few stragglers ahead of you notice you and move in to intercept you. If you have the game on Regular/Normal Difficulty there will only be two zombies that appear. If you have the game on Noble/Hard Difficulty there will be four of them. There is nothing after the battle as this ends Chapter 1 and begins Chapter 2 so if you fight these battles (unless you have Undo) you'll be trapped. The scenes are also catered to every race's running style.
Rolling Hills Redeux
The battle against the Horde isn't really canon, but I know how frustrating they've been for people and after a request from a patron to let us fight it, I decided, what the hell, why not! This battle is basically a middle finger to all the zombies and will earn you an achievement, "Kill them with fire" (or something like that) once I add them in. Some achievements will give you Stat Boosts. But anyway, your character is angry, tired and fed-up with running so you charge toward the base of the hills where most of the zombies have gathered and you attack them. All zombies in this area (in both Difficulties) have had their damage reduced to "2" per hit (if they successfully hit you that way the battle is at least somewhat winnable (although I may need to adjust it again later)). If you have the game on Regular/Normal Difficulty there will be seven zombies to face which is "14" damage every round IF they all manage to hit you. On Noble/Hard Difficulty there are fifteen zombies which is "30" damage per hit. But I'll probably reduce their damage to "1" just to make the battle winnable before release. Currently coming to this area leads to a dead end as well (again unless you have Undo).
Revamped/Updated DDI:
I have completely updated the “DDI” and all the subsequent coding therein. It should be 100% bug-free (fingers crossed) because I went through and fixed all the errors that were blatantly obvious, or just needed updating to actually work. If you do happen to notice anything weird happening though, please let me know. I also added two more categories to it as well; “horns” and “conditions”.
New Pregnancy Turn 690:
Since we're so close to 8 months of pregnancy, I decided to do another pregnancy turn which as the title suggests is turn 690 (for those who are not maternal specialities). Which means 1 more turn to go before 8 months pregnant will be available! In this turn, you'll have a 35% chance to increase your weight and a 35% chance to increase your buttsize --- or both if you're lucky! :P Nothing too major, this turn is about progression: swelling, bloatedness and feeling extra hungry all the time.
New Enemy Item Drop Table:
The story behind this is that I was very unhappy with the enemy loot/drop system --- I mean quite frankly if I ever wanted to add something to it down the road for whatever reason (like a new item creation and so on) I would have to go through EVERY SINGLE enemy and add it to their drop list. Ugh! That would take forever. So, I decided to create a new function that I can update very, very easily. The best part about it though is every enemy will probably drop something that you probably haven't gotten before AND the drop/loot table is probably...20 times+ bigger than it was before. Here is the new loot table below...
I’ve divided it into sections: “Gold Section”, “Health Potion Section”, “Supplies Section”, “Hair Dye Section (Ha! hair dissection!)”, “Potions/Body Mod Section”, and “Misc Section”. Basically, you have a 15% chance to get any of these sections, and 15% chance not to get anything at all and within each section you have a chance not to get anything. If you don’t win anything, no message will appear when you kill an enemy and you won’t loot/find anything.
In the “Gold Section” you have a chance to win +1 - +5 Gold, or +8 or +10 gold. But the chances are lower for the two latter.
In the “Health Potion Section” you can win a “small health potion” or a “large health potion” with a lower chance.
In the “Supplies Section” you can win a “small stick”, “piece of torn cloth” or a “piece of scrap metal”. In the “Hair Dye Section” you can win any of the current hair dyes. “Green”, “Red”, “Black”, “Pink”, “Dirty Blonde”, “Dark Red”, “Silver”, “White”, “Rainbow”, “Brunette”, “Platinum Blonde”, “Purple”, “Blue”, “Orange”, “Ombre”, “Neon” and “Pastel”.
In the “Potions/Body Mod Section” you can win, “miracle grow hair”, “miracle grow nails”, “bottle of purification”, “vial of corruption”, “shortification elixir”, “tallification elixir”, “slimification elixir”, “magic donut”, “bimbo draught”, “prudgilentalisis”, “nympholent”, “mega miracle grow nails” and “mega miracle grow for hair”.
In the “Misc Section” you can win, “soup mix”, “a dilapidated brush”, “a small sack of gold”, “a medium sack of gold”, “any one of the four “decursers”, an “oil cartridge”, an “any of the “Lockpick kits (although the higher they go the harder they are to get)” or any of the “Lockpicking Guides (again, the higher they go the harder they are to get)”.
Bug Fixes:
I've been fixing some bugs here and there --- nothing new: I fixed some with the Questing System. I fixed the “Failed Quest” messages that weren’t appearing because I was a dummy who accidentally slipped in an apostrophe. e_____e I also arranged it so that if you do not have a Quest, you cannot fail it --- like prematurely leaving the “Withered Snag” used to fail the 1st AND 2nd Quests but now it only fails them if you enter the house and get them first. I also fixed some minor spelling/grammar bugs a long the way too but aren't important enough to point out.
Coming Up:
Hannah Remaster, and more Cow-Taur Transformation will be the main focus. I'll also reduce the zombie horde damage as well. Then we should be coming up on the update! Excited??

I hope everyone likes it. For now there isn't an exit out of the horde battle, but in the next update after the one coming up, I should be beginning Chapter 2 and that will add an exit to the Horde Battle (but you have to defeat a certain number of the Horde to escape). :D
