Progress Report Posted :)
Added 2016-11-28 21:15:15 +0000 UTCI wanted to take this time to thank all of you for your continued support, I really, really appreciate your generosity. I also hope everyone doing well at home and staying warm :) With that said, if you need to talk about anything: home life, or you just need to vent or anything at all about the game, my "door" is always open to you. It doesn't matter what your pledge amount is because we're all in this together!
Also, if you have Skype invites please feel free to pop on and talk to me there too! I think a few people can vouch that we have a great time over there. It's all text, no mic or video camera needed and it gives you the chance to talk with me 24/7! :D
Oh, and if you're interested in the birthday rewards from an incoming birthday or one that happened earlier in the year, I'd love to give you a gift reward! So let me know if you're interested in that as well! :D
Anyway, I'll think you'll be pleased with the work so far! I've pretty much been working on the game 24/7 as much as I possibly can since most of my homework was done over Thanksgiving vacation. We have about 2 full weeks left in this semester too and a finals week as well, and then we're done for winter vacation. I should have some more time to put toward it.
So what's new? I'll show ya!
Player Status Conditions:
I added player status conditions in the game, which will tell you how your character is doing at that particular moment. There are four conditions. You can be “healthy”, “cold”, “sick”, and “poisoned” for the time being. I will attempt to explain them now:
“Healthy” – If you are healthy, nothing bad is happening to your character. So you will have no penalties at all. This is how you begin the game.
“Cold” – You can develop a cold condition by being out in a storm or rain without a fire, or by swimming in a cold place, or going up too high in mountains etc, typical places you’d get cold. If you get cold, you will be immediately notified and the countdown will begin. The countdown starts at “150 turns” and will dwindle. If you don’t find a place to “rest” or get “warm” by a fire, then when the countdown hits “1” you will become “sick” and lose -1 “maximum health”. If you do manage to find “warmth” or “rest” you will return to a “healthy status”.
“Sick” – If you become sick, you will automatically but TEMPORARILY lose “-5 strength”, “-5 agility”, “-5 intelligence” and “-3 resist”. From there the countdown will begin which again starts at “150 turns”. If you “rest” you will automatically return to a “healthy status” and all your stats you lose will immediately return. If the sick turns reach “1” --- then you will regain all of your stats as usual, but you will also lose “-1 maximum health” as well.
“Poisoned” – If you become poisoned, you will lose “-1 health” per turn until you are dead, or until you find an “Antidote” or until you “rest”. Upon doing the two latter, you will be returned to a “healthy status/condition”
I also added minor descriptions of them in the player's description, and added them to the "Help Guide" as well. I may add more later, but for now this should do it.
Combat Dialogue:
So as far as I can tell all the combat dialogue errors have been worked out for the male and female zombie group types and they've been added to the game! That means all males and females whether attacked unarmed or with a weapon should have several variations of dialogue! :D Neato, huh?
Compass/Command: All the buttons have been made black, all the technical stuff is done and all the errors are fixed, I just need to connect the buttons to the commands and those should be ready to go!
Zombie Horde/Group 2:
I have created ALL of the zombies for the Horde achievement scene and the zombie group for the second Sudden Death room. I just have to add the descriptions and scripts to the room and they should be good to go!
Coming Up:
Description for the two new rooms and the coding, more Cow-Taur TF, another Pregnancy turn, and more Hannah remaster! Whew! Lots to do!
