Qrow's reaction is going to be very interesting, yes (and thanks for reminding me of it -_-;) however, i think Ozpin could argue that he had no idea Tyrian was around, nor that RWBY would be so foolish as to split their team up. That was not even a rookie mistake, that was asking to be ambushed. Qrow will be angry, sure, but Ozpin will direct it against thier enemies. I would not say Ozpin is evil, but yes, he has sort of forgotten what it means to be human, young or trust other people. Specifically, i think he hasn't had someone argue with him enough, prove him wrong enough. OOh... a meeting with Tai. That could be fun. Nice idea. I doubt that Harry would tell him about his concerns about Ozpin, unless he's already had that conversation with Ruby. Which would just make things awkward. his pulling Ruby and Yang is... probably more dependent on how Yang deals with being wounded so badly. He's also got a job as a fulltime teacher at the school Ruby and Yang went to prior to Beacon. Glynda I feel is stuck in a rut, and isn't strong-willed enough to leave it on her own. Not even now. Maybe after a goodly portion of the Freshmen class leave after only a single semester, especially several she has taken under her wing, Glynda will look at her own actions and Ozpin and start to question things more. Tia's team - Garnet. - Greenscale, Arc, Rose (mila) and Apacci's last name, which I would need to look up, LOL. I will not be drawn on Adam's activities or what will happen there. No major spoilers here. Although I will say Mila being killed is a bit dark for what I have planned. Weiss being tortured is much the same thing. Arturia will not have been rendered infertile. She had already taken a major hit to her ego, but yeah, this will finish destroying it. No more one-woman missions for this girl, and a revamp to her shield. Rhongonmyiad is perfect, but her secondary weapon/defense could do with a major upgrade. I am thinking about Ruby mentioning the Maidens legend to Harry offhand at some point, then Harry needling Ozpin in some fashion about the story, making the leap to 'oh shit its real' thing. As for Mercury, he's going to survive for a bit. Cinder might well get away without any further complications for now.

2025-07-30 15:04:28 +0000 UTCIt has been so long since I last watched RWBY that I can't remember if Ozpin came across as being that manipulative and stoic. But one thing I can say is that based on the way you have written him and how he acts in this story I honestly think (that while he's not an antagonist) he's more evil than Salem. Salem just wants everything to die and to feel her pain and despair and while Ozpin/Ozma does want to stop her he's forgotten what it means to be human, to be alive. I think beyond losing a third of his first year students I think he might also lose a number of his followers. How is Qrow going to react to his nieces almost dieing because of Ozpin's manipulation and now that they have a sketch and appearance for Cinder and Mercury what's to stop him from leaving and hunting them down to assuage his guilt over the attack against Amber, Ruby, and Yang. Tai is going to get that phone call and rush to the hospital, the same hospital where Ruby, Weiss, Harry, and Tia are and will likely tell him everything that happened and Harry might even hint or tell him his suspicions and with what Tai knows is that enough to break whatever trust and respect he might have had left. Lastly, what about Glynda, again she's being ignored by Ozpin, her words dismissed, after everything that will happen before Harry leaves how much longer can she be compliant to Ozpin's inaction and to continue to raise up countless Hunters that are treated nothing more than fodder as they are manipulated to die in his shadow war. And that's not even how the other students involved will react from this chapter and what's to come. I can see all the teams involved leaving and joining Harry except for RWBY and Tia's (I can't remember their team name). As I'm predicting that when Adam makes his move he's going to kidnap Blake and Weiss and during their brief captivity (before Adam is killed when they're rescued) Weiss is going to be tortured and that'll break Blake such that she will give up being a Huntress. Weiss is going to have more scars or lose a limb such that her father will abduct her and put her on house arrest or she'll join Harry at his home. After this attack and the injuries sustained Tai will pull Ruby and Yang from school and finish their education on his own if they even want to continue to be huntresses. Appaci is going to get caught by Mila Rose letting in the White Fang and he will either escape or be sent to jail and Mila Rose is more than likely going to be killed trying to stop/warn the school. I do wonder if these most recent fights are going to be enough to push through whatever ego or hubris that Alturia might have had with how strong she is; I'm also hoping that after the poison and anti venom she had to take that it has not left her infertile. I do expect that Cinder will escape the city but I don't know if Mercury will also, I think he's going to be a sacrificial lamb for her. I would love for her to be killed by Pyrrha as it would be interesting to see how the story could change if Harry knows about the Maiden powers and what it means to Remnant.
