June Patron Only Poll and Plan

Happy Sunday everyone.  Woke up around ten after catching up on my sleep and it is glorious.  Before we get to the Patron Only Poll, I figured I would share with everyone the plan for this month.

First priority will be to finish Making Waves – I will be doing that today, and sending it off to the editor.  By which I mean, the next chapter is it!!  There will be no epilogue.  I like the way I end this last chapter, and I don’t see the need to wrap everything up with a neat, pretty bow.  The shape of the future is easy enough to see, and I think leaving it to people’s imagination by that point is a good idea.

Second priority will be to finish ATP.  I want both those stories DONE.  My Marvel muse is literally on life support at this point, and that story just needs to end.  So the next chapter and the Epilogue will both be finished this month.    In this manner, I hope to go back to the four new chapters a month format in July, but don’t quote me on that one.

Third Priority will be a new chapter for the patron Only story winner.

Fourth Priority: The Ranma Poll Winner.  Much like in the past few chapters, I want to give my Ranma editors time, as, again, I will be bringing back Stallion.  I will probably keep doing so until I get to the point where I’m making bigger time skips to cover the two years training arc.  I’ve also found a lot of neat, amusing One Piece fanfics that have helped keep my muse going. Now, that’s no guarantee that it will actually win, but its better to plan for that.

Fifth Priority:  The HP poll winner.  I’m basically hoping it’s Fate, so that I can keep the chapter size down, LOL.  Bhaalson Remodel… I could maybe keep the chapter size down, but there’s always the formatting, editing issues with that work.

Mixed in with all these goals is going to be the need to finish up creating collections here on Patreon.  That is, all of my current works will be organized into separate collections, with downloadable versions of the chapters included.  Once that is done, I will start to shift stories from Fanfic over to AO3 and vice versa.  I had hoped to do that this past month, but RL and my own ability to remember got in the way.   I’d like to do a story collection a week, starting with Stallion Monday morning.

I will  be putting out some polls, and a few fic-specific questions today.  Please, take part folks, give me your opinions or even your thoughts.

Now, with that out of the way, here are the choices for the Patron Only Story Poll this month:

King of Champions – HP/RWBY crossover: The chaos of two sides almost accidentally bringing their full forces to bear at one another continues in the city as Arturia and the RY siblings are ambushed.  This ambush soon proves deadly as a madman with a horrific semblance and a penchant for poison makes himself known, leaving Ruby to hold the line until help arrives unlooked for in the form of Weiss and their other friends.  Mercury is outed in no uncertain terms as Tyrian is brought to bay, while the chaos here and elsewhere become known to Ozpin and the powers that be.  An overt response occurs as a running fight comes out of the less inhabited area of the city, letting Cinder escape, much to Harry’s fury.  That fury leads to further confrontations afterward with both Ozpin and Ironwood, stopped by the injuries sustained by his sister and friends. With her forces battered, and Roman and Neo both missing, Cinder is forced to report the near-total disaster to find that information is it’s own reward. Infighting breaks out as Roman and Neo make a break for freedom while Adam tries to force Cinder to follow him, only for one group to come away happy.  Regardless, plans continue, and as everyone is winding down, assuming the action has past, Adam’s own plans for Blake and Wiess come to fruition.

Climbing Together – Ranma/Street Fighter/King of Fighters crossover: A chance to win an all you can eat competition brings Ranma into semi-friendly conflict with a pair of martial artists who use Yin energy in a way that he and his lovers haven’t run into before and truly believe in the phrase ‘anything goes’.  Later that same night, Mai becomes the target of yet another pair who use Yin energy, only this pair isn’t nearly as friendly, resulting in a drag out fight throughout the town that wrecks a shrine, much to the chagrin of the spirit within… and the people who have been praying there.  This shock isn’t nearly the last, as the spirit in question throws Ranma into his Neko-Ken form, although calming him down proves astonishingly easy thanks to Shampoo and Mai’s relationship with him.  After turning over the two antagonists to the authorities, turning down several offers, and helping to repair the damage, the trio are off once more.  The next time they put into port is in the city of Zhanjiang, where they find a wrinkled prune waiting for them.  Serious training talks are had, some information shared, and mistakes corrected before a blind stalker interrupts the proceedings. Shampoo, having had just about enough of this, deals with this issue in a truly Amazonian manner, during which Cologne convinces the group to stay and train with her for a time before heading not to the main city of Hainan, but to a smaller island, the better for further training.

Heroes of the High Seas – My Hero Academia/One Piece crossover: Izuku and his friends face a rising threat to Paradise in the form of Gasparde, former Marine.  While initially, their plans of engagement make sense, and start to halt the ongoing disaster, Momo and Jirou find themselves facing the man himself.  Both prove that tenacity and imagination matter a lot, but are nearly overwhelmed before Izuku arrives to help finish the battle.  Meanwhile, all of this is being observed by a certain raven-haired young woman, who overhears things from Tsu and Iida that the group would rather have kept secret.  Rebuilding and introductions follow, with the marines more than willing to agree to anything to get the teens help and sign them into the marines.  During this, a romantic moment is interrupted by a Monkey Hero’s arrival, where the teens are placed under his command quickly.  A short discussion is had in the shadows between Momo, Izuku and a watcher, making them wonder about this new world even more than they had been.  However, such thoughts do not remain in their heads for long as Garp proves to be both a harsh but effective teacher, and Izuku realizes he can become even stronger if he can push himself hard enough, while Mei and Melissa find themselves fighting to remain with the marines rather than sent elsewhere, forcing a small confrontation and Garp going to bat for the group, taking them further under his wing than before.

Heroes of the High Seas will get the carry over effect of 649.  Maybe this will let it have a real chance of winning, when combined with my own votes?  We will see. As for an end date, as mentioned, this poll won’t have one.  I will end it when work on ATP is finished, so it could be as early as the 7th, or as late as the 12th.  I can hope for the former, but somewhere in the middle is probably more likely.

I will post the HP and Ranma polls tomorrow.

That's what happens when canon shits the bed as hard as it did.

Primordial Vortex

Man, I wish there was more enthusiasm for Heroes! The competition just seems to have too much support.. which is a shame, as I don't read either (don't know the fandoms)! Lol, such is life.
