Inns, Taverns & Hotels

The Snowed Inn

The Snowed Inn was built around a network of natural thermal pools, high up among the Sundered Peaks. Despite its isolated location it has a steady flow of visitors, many of whom are making the arduous pilgrimage to the ruined city of Elaria.

It does also attract a different sort of clientele however, those for whom the isolation is seen as a great boon. Since the lands around Elaria are unclaimed, the Inn technically resides in a region beyond the control of Dorran, Bharzul and the Freeholds. For this reason it is often used as a neutral meeting place, both between representatives of those dominions and other more clandestine groups who work within them. The warm waters encourage a state of dress that makes intentions, and weapons, difficult to hide.

The Snowed Inn is run by Chena Mývatn. Her small stature and quiet nature bely an iron hard spirit. She knows many secrets about the special guests hosted at the inn, but it is her ability to keep and protect those secrets that ensures the continued prosperity of the establishment.

Hideouts & Lairs

Sphinx Lair

Settled into the side of a lone mountain in the Boreus Desert this temple is home to a pair of Sphinx, although only one ever seems to be present at a time. Crossing the shifting sands under the intense heat of the sun is not a journey to be taken lightly, but for those who survive they can cool themselves in the reflection pools and eat from the bounty of the oasis garden.

However, this is not why most make the journey. The Sphinx are incredibly wise beings, many say they even have the power of foresight, and those who seek forgotten or lost knowledge may come to them for aid. What the cost of that aid may be though, none but the Sphinx themselves can say.

Into the Wilds

Forest Tactical Tiles 01 Complete Bundle

This is part of the new modular 'Tactical Tiles' series, sets of generic themed tiles that can be quickly laid out to create some interesting tactical corridors and lines of sight that could be used for a larger skirmish or battle, a sneaky infiltration where your party have to avoid being seen, or a variety of spaces to explore.

Silver Gauntlet

The Silver Gauntlet is something of a myth among the general populace. Although not strictly secret, it’s exact location is not widely known and those seeking it will have to turn less reputable sources for information.

The ‘Gauntlet’ is an invite-only club for mercenary groups, vetted by the one and only Arre Picaro who was one of the best mercenaries in the city in her youth. Known by many as the ‘Queen of the Night’, Picaro has contacts in almost every major faction in the region and is widely respected by almost all of them, a reputation she works very hard to maintain.

Any group looking to score the biggest jobs will need to impress Picaro enough for an invitation to the Silver Gauntlet, and those who can work their way up through her ranks may get life changing opportunities. However, crossing her or worse, embarrassing her by performing an assigned job poorly, will earn you an enemy for life.

Now scarecrows stalk the farmland with unnatural purpose, while the descendants of an old betrayal seek to destroy the very relics needed to restore peace. Can the adventurers navigate family guilt and vengeful spirits to put the restless dead back to sleep?

Restless Harvest

Smokestack for 5e & PF2E

This peculiar mace is made from the well laid bricks of an old chimney that have been ripped from their usual emplacement and fashioned to a cage and soot covered wooden handle. The end of this odd chimney structure constantly belches a blackened smoke that dissipates almost immediately upon exiting the weapon. The pommel of this mace resembles a small roofed cottage, perhaps a reference to where the bricks themselves were pulled from.

Deadwithe Inn for 5e & PF2E

The origins of this construct are intentionally vague. Those who originally created the machine and its original purpose have long since faded into the obscurity of time. All that is left is a slowly floating small tavern that seeks only to place itself in the most remote of locations and lure in travelers from the road, only to bring them to their demise.
