Hacienda

Don Sebastián Solano is the head of the Solano family. Having made their money from trade and with no direct connection to any political factions, the Solano’s are highly respected by the community due to their charitable endeavours.

Although Sebastian himself is currently the only resident of the families Hacienda, aside from the guards and serving staff, he regularly hosts dinners and events for the common folk so the compound is always humming with life. While preparing a feast to celebrate an upcoming festival one of the kitchen staff was found dead, seemingly poisoned after having tasted some of the meal.

Don Solano has locked down the estate and cancelled the celebrations until he can find who poisoned the food and why. Unable to fully trust his own staff, he is calling for outside help with the investigation.

Manor House

Lord and Lady Domulous are key figures in the shadow government, and with election season looming they are literally and figuratively burning the candle at both ends. Their work often means they are both away from home for extended periods of time, meaning their children are being raised by the servants and live-in au pair, Charlotte Beaumont.

Lady Domulous has come down with a bout of fever and returned home to rest and recover for a few days. Her sleep is plagued by nightmares, and the waking world seems to overlap with her dreams. Visions of her children and Miss Beaumont flicker in and out, but they are contorted, twisted somehow. Screams in the night wake her, but she finds herself in a version of her home less real than the dreams. Is she awake or is she still sleeping? In her fear and panic she pens a letter to her husband. She is sure a courier collected it, but no answer or aid arrives. Was it real? Where are the children? Where is Charlotte? Where is her husband?

Winding Paths - The city has continued to expand over the last few decades, but being sandwiched between the ocean and the mountains there is little space to grow into. Instead the streets and buildings become more cramped and intertwining. It can be easy for newcomers to get lost.
Crossroads - Despite looking like many other similar junctions throughout the city, this particular one marks the boundary between four different gang territories. Although there has been peace between them in recent years, tensions have been building of late.
Meeting Point - Situated fairly centrally and up on a hill this fountain is a popular meeting point in the city, much to the chagrin of the nearby homeowners. Vendors and rickshaw drivers have started to set up in the vicinity to take advantage of the higher foot traffic, and are making a lot of mess and noise.
Dock Overlook - This small dock is deeper into the city than the main port, accessed via a series of infrequently used narrow canals. For this reason, smaller vessels can sometimes slip past the taxmen when importing certain illicit or high value goods.

Beckoning of Blathmire

Telskean for 5e & PF2E

The crystalline blade of this dagger dances and sparkles with deep blue facets covering the face of the blade. The handle itself is a well wrapped leather made to feel comfortable in the hand. Running your fingers along the blade produces a light crackling sound and causes small arcs of electricity to dance from the edge to your finger and holding it close to your ear produces a low and staticy buzzing sound like dozens of bees.

Hulking forms in their own right, many would seek to flee from these beasts, but there are those who have sought to hunt them for their unique properties. These creatures lack the standard vitae that one may find in most creatures, and are instead seemingly kept alive by the electricity that flows through their extremities. In this way, it could be thought that the very essence of their life is electricity.
