The CIA didn't have Riri's vibranium detector anymore when Namor goes to see Shuri and Ramonda. Lake Bell makes a comment in the beginning saying something like "we need the detector because it's the only one." Then Namor takes it from the CIA and brings it to Wakanda to show Shuri and Ramonda. That's why Namor wanted Riri taken out, cause she's the only person who coulda made a new one for the CIA. Which made sense to me, but I agree it was a little intense to want to take down a kid
