Patreon Theiving:

It has been brought to my attention that a site has been stealing furry artwork from patreons and posting it without permission. Checking it out myself I have seen my work on there as well as that of several of my friends. Shortly after checking it I got a new patreon supporter that was most likely one of their thieves as they had no prior supports, joined that month, and after blocking them I found the latest piece I’d done on there as well. https://kotaku.com/theres-a-website-dedicated-to-stealing-furry-porn-from-1821818309
I’m aware this may be old news to many but what can be said, it’s news to me.
And the best part? This site that dedicates itself to stealing people’s work to get around a paywall has the gall to have a donate button. Asking for money to steal people’s work to avoid what is often a short advanced preview or access to full res pictures and art books.
To say the least, I’m pissed. I’m weighing options for what to do about this. First thought is to file a DMCA claim but I’m told this often leads to doxxing. The current plan though is that I’m not going to submit anything to patreon any more and may drop it as a whole because of this. I may switch purely to Ko-Fi, open a twitter and just start going through that instead. I’m open to suggestions and opinions but for now all I can say is this:
Please don’t support this practice. Artists are just trying to find methods to make a consistent living. Support them over this thievery and blatant copyright violations.
And to the thieves: I know odds are you're going to make a fake account to post this if you haven't already. Enjoy, because this may be the last post you get.
