Tom Cartos is Hiring! - Map & Asset Artist

Role & Responsibilities:

I am looking for a new Map and Asset Artist to join Team Cartos on a permanent basis.

This person will help me design and create multi-level/area TTRPG battlemaps in a variety of themes and genres, in my style.

You can have a look at my Pinterest Gallery or Patreon for an idea of the kind of maps and assets that I make.

The ideal candidate would:

Bonus points:

Pay & Hours

Initially, this will be a part time position. You will be asked to create 1-2 map sets per month, which I anticipate about will be about 2 weeks of work each month.

Pay for this will be $1800/month or $180/day (negotiable).

As my brand continues to grow, I anticipate this will become a full-time job and salary can be re-negotiated as we go.

Submitting an Application

If you would like to apply for the role, please send an email to tom@tomcartos.com and include β€˜Application’ in the subject line.

The email should highlight your relevant experience and include some samples of your work. This does not necessarily need to be battlemaps, but can be any kind of related art or design work.

Successful applicants in the first round will then be asked to design a battlemap (minimum 20x20 grid squares with multiple areas and at least 2 interconnecting levels) and submit the design. This should take no longer than a day and will be paid. There will also be an informal interview, which will be held on Discord.

Questions

If you have any questions about the role, please feel free to contact me via the email address listed above, or message me on Discord - TomCartos#2999

If you know anyone who might be interested in this position, please share this post with them.

Map making I can do- but your level of quality for assets is about 9 miles above what I'm capable of, I think haha. Best of luck; dream job, for sure.
