People are already super attached to the characters, but since the story parts of the game is super limited and vague, i feel like they'd have fairly free reign to do what they want without upsetting fans. In addition to that, seeing a live action version of the cast would be AMAZING, considering how much thought Blizzard put into the diversity of gender, race, body types, sexuality etc. in the characters.
