Hello Adventurers!

A century has passed since the Bramble Wardens last protected the village of Ostenwold from the Burning Whisper orcs that lurked in the surrounding wood. The Wardens were so effective in their duties that it eventually led to their decline and disbandment: the Burning Whisper had been defeated. Mug'bor, a Burning Whisper lieutenant, had defected to the Wardens and provided key strategic information on their tactics and mustering locations, leaving the orcs no chance to adequately defend themselves against a coordinated and surprising assault on their camps.
Mug'bor was killed in this assault, but his body was recovered, and for his unprecedented contribution to the Wardens' cause, he was entombed with the Bramble Wardens under the Church of the Everlight in Ostenwold. After the defeat of the orcs, the training and development of new Bramble Wardens became deprioritized, and the organization slowly but surely disappeared over the following years, though their efforts were not forgotten — for their tomb under the Church of the Everlight remained.
Now, the tomb has been disturbed. The clergy above have heard rumblings from below. Fearing that the dead have awoken, they have locked the doors and fled the church, seeking the aid of brave adventurers to cleanse what foul evil has arisen. The dead do not rise uncalled.
The Burning Whisper orcs have returned, and they seek to animate the remains of Mug'bor so that he may fight once more: this time for the righteous cause.
