Adventure Overview 

There is little illicit activity running through the city that the Pennertons aren't aware of. Owners of a government-backed bank and one of the most powerful bloodlines in the region, the Pennerton family are no strangers to money laundering, counterfeiting, racketeering, and, when required, plain-old thuggery. 

Many know that their polished veneer is a flimsy smokescreen — the dirty business of the Pennertons is something of an open secret. Despite this general understanding, there are few who would dare challenge the family. While the Pennertons have allies across industry and government, it is who they serve under who invokes the most fear: Ghumoz the djinni. 

A fearsome and cunning overlord, Ghumoz grants his blessings and aid to the Pennertons in exchange for a hefty cut of their profits. To act against the Pennertons is to act against Ghumoz and his ferocity. Now, Ghumoz is using the Pennerton Bank to house his latest prize — an efreeti, captured and bottled by Ghumoz himself. Though the family works hard to ensure silence, word has got out of the great treasure being kept in the bank. There are many powerful actors that would pay handsomely for its retrieval. After all, even just the chance at a wish is priceless.
