Developer Notes (Ep1) #2

Hello.

I'll go straight to what I'm planning to do regarding Ep1.

Planning means that I will work on it, but it does not mean that it will be 100% implemented in the new version of the game.

I do not want to promise things and fail to deliver them.

I believe that it is better to surprise players in a good way. Not to promise a bunch of stuff and then explain why it is not in the game.

— I am planning to add an option to skip Ep0 at the start of the game. 

The game will ask for the name, and which path the player intends to take (red, blue, neutral). Relationship with Amanda will be as in Ep0 she ends the affair with MC. Everything that was supposed to happen will happen, except that the player will not be forced to watch it.

— If I implement the point & click system, it will look more or less like this:

The player will have to find on the displayed picture:

  -  something from the environment with a different color or

  -  something that does not match the environment

  Surely there will be no straining eyes and searching for pixels to add an image to the gallery after clicking on it.

Now, a bit of information about what direction the game is heading.

Regarding the "mafia" plot, which I would not name in that way.

This plot will linger, but in the background. Robert and his crew were running an illegal business and someday this may come back to bite him, so later this theme will return.

Now I will be working on showing how the MC acclimates to the new environment. Building relationships with newly met characters.

Which means, with the option to continue "romance" with Amanda, the MC will visit her, or she visits him. 

It is possible that I will write another dev log. It depends on if I get more information from you guys.

Even posts by haters that have nothing to do with constructive criticism make me think about how a given character, scene should be presented.
