2024-09-29 21:59:45 +0000 UTCI've run numerous different games under many rulebooks with my players for several years. I'm a bit overdramatic calling f-2d20 "hot garbage" tho. I primarily just think it's really fucking boring. It's rules don't sell the "fallout" experience to me, and none of the rules are particularly exciting to put in front of my players. It's super vanilla, and comes off like the only fallout video game that exists is fallout 4. Id say give it a look at if you really want to tho, cause I'm sure that really talented DMs can take the f-2d20 system and tell good stories with it. I just think that the xptolevel3 game is exciting, sells the setting really well, is fun to read, and imports fallout mechanics into ttrpg form in a very natural way.
