I can’t speak for everyone, but I think it’s safe to say that a majority of Infinite’s critics DONT at all dislike Columbia because they think BioShock should be about Rapture. Frankly it kind of surprises me how unanimous the opinion that they said all they needed to say with Rapture, even among more casual gamers. I like the game, but I beat it last year for the first time since it came out, and I must say that game has a looooooot of problems with the story AND gameplay. The general consensus is that Colombia is the BEST part of it but it’s a shame because it drops a lot of the compelling parts of the city for the sake of a story that goes way off the rails in a far less intelligible way than people gave it credit for on release. Great characters, great idea for and skeleton of a story. Good gameplay when things are firing on all cylinders, but most fights are way hampered by less interesting and less in number vigors, and unnecessary ammo scarcity. The game wants you to invest in a couple of specific weapons of your choice to upgrade and master but the economy is such that you’re constantly having to cycle through all of your weapons because you can never really keep enough money to upgrade everything and stay consistently stocked on ammo for ANY of them

Imo the hate convo got hella derailed. I was with Kingston at the start, before he started lawyering. I can defo feel hate and anger, and so can Sween, obviously. But when someone dies, even if I hate them, idk. I just don't get any joy. Perhaps RELIEF, ljke if putin dropped dead tomorrow, but that's not the same thing as joy.

The satisfaction doesn't come from the anger or hate you feel from it, it comes from overcoming a challenge.

All this can also be applied to those that do extreme wrong, like the hypothetical the guys were making. To treat them as human, despite them not giving us the same pleasure is a strong show of virtue. But that doesn't mean you should love them, you just do the opposite of hate, not giving them any mind. To persistently think about them will only do you more harm, so letting go and moving forward is the answer. To let your emotions govern you, to not have self control, will not make you happy and might lead you to do rash things.

FluffyNeko

I completely agree with Chris, Spider-Man and Deadpool are 2 of the only original costumes that actually look good and everything else looks like dog shit

Captain Bon Clay

Of course, we are human. Marcus Aurelius has put the importance of meditation into achieving virtue. One of the things he would say while meditating is to acknowledge that the wrongdoer has a nature related to our own. Knowing of both ugliness and divine. But it's important to remember that we are flawed and will slip out anger and hatred. But to let it persist is what we should avoid.

Sweeney is so focused on not admitting he's wrong that he said he doesn't get satisfied by besting someone in a game.... like what? Need clips of Sweeney streaming.

The Ford F150 voice sounds like Arthur Morgan.

It’s a good idea that people need to take a brake on social media on general. I will say that I almost became a problem on Twitter and I needed that good long brake.

with the convo about kingston, i just think that it is hard to be stronger than your anger sometimes. as virtuous as someone may or may not be, at some point you let slip a curse or ball up a fist because ultimately, you feel an animosity. even if your actions don’t change the outcome, it serves the purpose of expressing how you feel in the moment.
