Hi!
Firstly, I would like to wish happy holidays (and happy Christmas) to you all!
What a year it was, I hope you enjoyed the new model Generation 3, all the models released this year, and the new website. I tried to improve not only the model themselves, but also the stills I made with them. I also planned some animations, but I didn't have time to finish. :(
For the next year, I've planned to make new models, maybe including some from the huge amount of new games that will be released. :)
But I would really like to have your feedback :
- What can be improved next year?
- What would you like to see on the next models/in the MustardUI?
- And, although can't promise anything, I would like to hear what models you would like to see next. :)
But, speaking about today, to celebrate, a new version of Tifa is available on the archive for all patrons (soon on smutba.se). In addition to an insane amount of bug fixed (I lost the count and I stopped writing them down), and maybe the addition of new one (hope not!), I added a new Christmas outfit with full particle effects as you see in the image above.
Moreover, a Christmas hat is attached to use on all your models (also available in the Patreon archive in the Props folder), also with particle hair support.
Finally I would like to thank you all the people who pledged, that are supporting now and will keep following me next year. Without your help and feedbacks, I woudn't be able to continue this projects. So thank you again and again! :)

Yes I know, I might also consider to make a video on how to improve fps. Because atm there are a lot of tools to improve FPS (not only Simplify and Disable Morphs!), but maybe people are not aware of those due to my poor communication. :D

I second the request for an Aerith model. Having your version of all three of the FF7 girls would be amazing. Also hope you have a very happy holiday season!

Yes the idea was to port some other DoA models next year, and I guess Ayane might be a fist good candidate. :) As for the optimization, I really feel you, that is an issue that I'm always struggling with. The new Diffeomorphic version has an insane amount of drivers that can slow down performance. One solution would be to convert everything to shape keys, similar to Rigid models, with the drawback that the bones won't be updated to the new morph position. But from the tests I made, with Morphs disabled, I can get similar if not identical performance as other models. You can disable different kind of morphs (like not mute the face ones etc..) in the UI, or preserve the morphs shape when disabling them, and that helps a bit in the usability I guess. It would be interesting to discuss your use cases (if you want, on Discord?), so I can understand what you would like to see on preserving decent performance. :) And happy holiday to you too!

I truly can't thank you enough for all the things you brought to the smut community <3 For the models I would want to see coming, well only one since I now Momiji is already in the works: Ayane is definitely missing for me in the generation 3's batch of models you released. That said tho, I would understand that you now want to focus on other IPs than DoA, especially since this one becomes AWFULLY unpopular lately, while it was already not great at all at the beginning... For the things to improve next year, the only thing I think about is optimisation. On generation 3 models, I surprise myself to disable morphs all the time when doing posing, which wasn't that much needed with generation 2. The UI sure makes the models totally usable thanks to this feature that allows us to disable morphs, but it would be definitely better being able to have the model not lagging too much when morphs are enabled. You brought an awesome feature to the UI this year that disables armature modifiers for unused props for way better performances. But with generation 3 it's not even enough anymore to make models convenient for posing without disabling morphs, which somehow "nullifies" the improvement you brought to your own UI, if you get what I mean. But then it means, for better performances, less drivers and so less correctives, less shape keys, less customisation... Rigid models sure run smooth on viewport, but correctives are a bit more limited (deformations are still awesome tho) and body customisation is VERY limited, which I'm not fan of at all. That's a very tough problem to fix, to have both good performances and customisation possibilities. But if there's a person who can find a solution, it's you =D Happy holidays Musti!
