Since the cloth creation tutorial was the most popular option in the poll i was going through my process of creating clothes and made this skirt and top from scratch in roughly 15-20 minutes. (10min was maybe a bit too optimistic :D ).
Anyway the purpose of the tutorial is just to show one way to make some clothes, obviously the more time and effort you spend the better looking stuff you can make.
The tutorial is roughly going to cover these things;
- Simple modeling in Blender (creating & manipulating geometry)
- Using Blenders cloth simulation physics to quickly create basic cloth shapes.
- Optimizing meshes before export (shading, sculpting tweaks, clean-up, creating UV-maps)
- Creating textures (diffuse, normal maps, specular and gloss)
- Import/Export to and from DAZ3D
- Import into VAM and tweaking textures / SIM
Im working on the tutorial on the side while making my usual VAM content too so i dont have any estimate on when its going to come out but probably within a couple of weeks.
The main tool used in the tutorial is Blender, and a specific version of it. Im using a fork of Blender 2.79 called "BforArtists V1". Its Blender 2.79 but with a much more user friendly UI. Note that there is also "BforArtists V2" also which is based on Blender 2.80 but its completly different than the one im using. So i'd suggest getting BforArtists V1 if youre going to be checking out the tutorial. :)

Here is a link to the clothes, its just a simple top and skirt as in the picture above. To install place the Custom folder from the download in your VAM directory. The clothes are called Simple Skirt and Simple Top in VAM.
