Sorry for the delay.
Added 2021-11-14 21:51:32 +0000 UTCHey guys, I hope everyone is okay.
I just want to say sorry the current update is taking so long. I really hoped to have it done by now but It's been a bit of a struggle the past few weeks.
I hate to make excuses but I feel at least an explanation is needed.
I would say I've been struggling for motivation but motivation is not the right word, I've really wanted to get this update finished but I've been lacking the creative spark or inspiration to make it happen. Instead it's been a bit of an unenjoyable grind which then only seems to make it harder to think creatively and productively.
I think after the update is done I'm going to take a break, at least until the new year. I think I will also reassess how much time I spend working of this project.
Right now it pretty much consumes most of my free time, If I ever take some time for myself to relax I only end up feeling under more pressure catch up. So far I've been able to keep working productively but it's finally starting to catch up with me. As much as I enjoy working on this project, when I start to struggle I begin to hate it too.
I think it is partly down to the way I accept support through patreon and it's monthly billing cycle. I feel a massive obligation to keep working each month as to not let you all down. I try my best not to promise anything as not to feel guilt when I can't deliver. I've accepted all your support over the years as its the only way I have been able justify spending the as much time working on this project as I do. Obviously this is none of your fault, you have all been amazing, this is pressure I can't help but put on myself.
I want to continue working on this project, I think I just need to be able do it my own pace, without pressure, what ever that pace happens to be. I will have look into some alternative way of accepting support. Something so people can give when I actually deliver rather than at regular time intervals.
I hope you all understand.
Thank you all as always and take care.

charge 'per creation' rather than 'per month'. this way patrons will only be charged when an update is released. it worked for many devs dealing with burnout as its a lot less stressful

2021-12-06 02:16:22 +0000 UTCJust relax and take it easy. Perhaps just make some random artistic renders to keep creative juices flowing.

2021-11-16 02:54:53 +0000 UTCAs a supporter of yours for only a couple months so far I can say that your frequent updates to us mean everything when it comes to keeping our interest and wanting to keep supporting you! I’m sure I can speak for all of us that like they said earlier in the comments, The Visit is one of the greatest adult games of all time and that was your first. Stars we all know will be just as good if not better because we all believe in you, and we understand that greatness does not have to be rushed. That being said, just because we think that doesn’t mean you should feel pressured to make Stars that great in a certain time frame. The things you could do in a year or two is more worth it to us than a game that another creator could finish before that. Because we know that it’s coming from you and we know how hard you work to make your games as great as they are. Please take the time you need to be comfortable. It’s everything else you do to keep in touch with us and be honest with us that makes us want to support, not solely the update frequency. I think it’s important to remember that more than anything, and we are investing in keeping you doing what you love and what we love to see! Hope for the best for you Stiglet, you will still have my support <3

2021-11-15 09:37:06 +0000 UTChey bro. first you happy, then we happy. we r believers watch the replies, the real pep talks. we don consider this another normal prevailing type of game. sure every game is art, but this is more of a love art. and we love it.

2021-11-15 02:43:48 +0000 UTCI can only agree with what has been written before. If there is one thing that I have learned, it that creativity can't be rushed. So if you feel like you are running into low battery mode... tame your time and recharge. A very good "friend" gave this lecture on creativity in 1991... and I believe there hay been no better explanation since then. I don't know if links work here, but if you search for John Cleese and creativity... you ought to find this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=Pb5oIIPO62g So take you time, kick away any pressure you might feel. And when the ideas hit you.. you continue at your very own pace.

2021-11-15 02:34:33 +0000 UTCWith Patreon, you can have either the monthly payments or per published project payments, and perhaps the latter is what you need to go with. But I think you should be fine with monthly payments and maybe just pause payment for a month or two if it is really too much pressure. The fact is that most of us recognize that you actually have a good finished VN already under your belt, which is more than can be said of most devs in this industry. This is really confidence inspiring for us, and it should be for you too. You've done this before; you can do it again. We look forward to when you're ready.

2021-11-15 02:29:24 +0000 UTCHey, take some months off, and dont worry about it. everyone knows you are a serious creator that delives. So if you dont make an update until say easter, we will be here waiting for you to get your mojo going again :)

2021-11-15 00:26:42 +0000 UTCI really like your games and I am hyped for the next update. But I think it's more important that you are happy with the work (and thus continue the project ;) ) than that you are publishing frequently new stuff. You should look on how much time you spent on the game development and limit this time so you aren't working to much. Another important thing is honest communication but I think you are on a good way. Dont feel pressured...I keep supporting you even if you need more time!

2021-11-14 23:35:05 +0000 UTCDon't worry about it, you'll still have my support for as long as you keep communicating. Take as long as you need.
