Added 2020-08-16 22:23:35 +0000 UTCA difference between the American and Russian billiard/pool is that the table is way bigger in the Russian one. Itβs also played with all-white numbered balls, except for a red ball that may or may not be the cue, depending on how youβre playing and the balls are also bigger and heavier than American ones. Usually the red ball is just to break the pyramid and then you just gotta hit the white balls as you see fit. Also the pockets are much smaller, just a few millimeters bigger than the balls. This means its extremely difficult to get any balls in.
The material of the top of the table is also different, allowing the balls to roll or move much faster across.

I played pool for years in college. I learned that it doesn't matter whose balls are bigger, it matters who sinks their balls first. π
