a small announcement + another small announcement in the P.P.S section + some whining about bastardson099 getting fired soon (maybe) + we love you all + i really don't know what to write on patreon, but I guess it's time to do something for the patrons

Hello everyone!!!!!!!! I never really knew what to write in "patrons-only" posts, but a very wise patron told me I have to, or no one will ever subscribe.

So here we are.

We don't have a ton of news, except for one pretty big thing. We debated whether to announce it, but in the end, we decided to share: your favorite devs have gotten greedy again.

Not many people know this (I mostly mentioned it in private talks), but West Has Fallen was originally meant to be something like Succubus Dreams. Then it took a completely different turn in terms of writing, gameplay, and overall vibe, so that idea was shelved for "better times."

And now, standing on the verge of being fired, I thought that MAYBE launching a small side project exclusively for patron's would be a good idea, so.......

Our new game is called New Folder (1) (because, as you know, we love dumb&cringy naming). It's based on West Has Fallen and starts in a clinic setting too, meaning a lot of elements will feel familiar.

This game is basically a polygon for all the wild ideas we had (and that you suggested!) but couldn't fit into WHF due to its pacing. New Folder (1) is meant to be fast, brainless, and pretty much a clone of Succubus Contract. Maybe that’s a minus, but for a mini-game? Not the worst thing I guess.

Does this mean WHF will be delayed? No idea. Maybe if not for this, I'd be playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 right now… but yeah, obviously, some energy is going into another game at the moment.

New Folder (1) will be released on February 28th. And it's happening no matter what. And it will be for patrons only for some time (probably until WHF version 0.3. Not sure).

So yeah, these are the bad news we wanted to share. For now, here's a mini teaser of the new game's interface (this isn't the final version, we might remove some elements or add new ones). I really love how it looks like, and I hope you do too! <3

Don't know what else to write. We were thinking of doing some patron-polls or something, but it feels like we need more people here first…..... maybe later.

P.S.: Yeah, we know, spreading ourselves across two projects is a really bad idea. I think we’ll manage, considering that New Folder isn’t planned to be a regular thing for now.

P.P.S.: The new WHF version will be out at the end of March/mid-April. I hope I'm not setting deadlines for nothing, but I'll have a vacation in the second half of March, and some of the content for WHF is already done, so..
