People have known about [REDACTED] for a long time. There's an entire underground economy based on it , which means infrastructure. This book was written in a town made to support that economy. The town sits between Earth and [REDACTED]. You can travel to and from Earth and to and from [REDACTED] here. Explorers sell artifacts and get jobs at the town. They also buy gear for their next expedition. Whatever you do, don't piss off the townsfolk. Most of them are veteran explorers or something even weirder.

The Town is a shadow community based in a pocket universe. It is run by a a cartel of smugglers and extremists seeking to exploit [REDACTED] no matter the cost. The Town's link to Earth shifts at unknown intervals, but it seems to always connect somewhere in the continental USA, usually in an isolated area, but still near a road. As shown in this photograph, a thriving black market sells dangerous items acquired in [REDACTED] with little care about who buys them. They have some kind of connection with military contractors, judging from the contents of "Jamison Surplus". Investigating those connections could be an avenue into gaining a foothold into [REDACTED].
