Early Access: Call of Cthulhu: Cotton-Eyed Joe

June, 1956: A team from the Royal Jaune  Records label arrives in Bon Marais, Louisiana, in search of the  original lyrics to the popular folk song "Cotton-Eyed Joe." The family  of local folk legend Rory Welch claims to have those lyrics and have  promised to release them...for a sizeable sum, of course. But dark and  terrible things lurk in the Louisiana swamps, and you may find  yourselves getting more than what you bargained for in this lyrical  deal.

You can buy the scenario now on DrivethruRPG!

Rina from The Old Ways Podcast ran this adventure for us.

Comments

This was a fantastic episode, Rina was an awesome Keeper building atmosphere, and the feel of location and period. The adventure was well paced and didn't fall into comedy Cthulhu territory keeping the game mysterious and creepy. And the Players rose to the challenge and did a great job of playing their characters. The only niggle is that I feel the episodes of insanity towards the end could have been more of a thing but I understand that sometimes they can throw a game off course if not handled well. So overall 10/10 and hopefully Rina and this bunch of Players get back together for another game of Call of Cthulhu. P.S The Keeper did a great job on the rules, explaining them when they came up, which was super helpful.
