TIME! Plans, Crusader, Books! Patreon Update #6

Hey guys! Update time!

A lot of new Patreons who have come aboard over the past couple weeks, so thank you very much for supporting me! You're already making the difference.  In fact, we've just past a Patreon goal, which is to cover the cost of the books. And as you can see in the video, I'm collecting a small library! I'm not sure if you've noticed but in each of my videos I seem to be using more and more books. I've had to start using the term "selected sources" in the pinned comments, which I use in case I forget to list any since I'm using that many.

In this update video I didn't even mention all the Kindle books I've got recently, nor did I mention all the physical books, so quite a lot I've left out. Suvorov's Icebreaker being one of them, plus a book on the Nuremberg Trials, Thunder in the East by Mawdsley... just to name a few. It's all helping massively, building up more and more evidence and examples, which is having an impact on the videos.

There's a lot going on behind the scenes, with me racing now to get Monday's video done at the moment. But also Crusader. I really really really want to get Crusader done soon. I'm having Battlestorm jitters because the last was in November. Speaking of Crusader...

This is 1st South African Infantry Brigade, commanded by Brigadier Pienaar. We're going to be seeing a lot of this guy during Operation Crusader, so I thought I'd introduce him now. He eventually goes on to command 1st South African Division later in the campaign, despite his 'great' performance during Crusader... Haven't yet got around to the German units for Crusader, but I'll hopefully have some for next update.

Received a lot of great comments from yesterday's "Why I'm Passionate about HISTORY" video! Completely swamped with the comments again... if this carries on I may need to hire a team of people to keep up with them :D Some really awesome comments though, and I'm sorry if you commented and I didn't respond. It's hard to tell who's a Patreon and who's not on there, especially since many of you use different usernames on here and there. If you could let me know your YouTube usernames that would be awesome.

The next Patreon goal is for me to hire a tutor to help me learn German. This is so I can access the German sources, which would open up a whole new world of possibilities. I've already started the process with Duolingo, but I want to hire a tutor. Someone was saying that wasn't necessary (and it may not be) but I've not learnt another language before and I really want to sink my teeth into it. Does anyone have any opinions on whether I should hire a tutor or not? And if any of you have learnt a second language before and have any tips you think might help, share them! How I'm going to find the time for this, I don't know, but I will!

And I haven't yet replied to everyone (as usual) so I'm hopefully going to do that tonight. If not, forgive me!

Thank you all once again for your support. I'm incredibly grateful and as you've seen over the past few weeks, it is making a difference. So thank you!

I read Stumbling Colossus probably about fifty times because I could never really wrap my head around it. It's VERY DRY.

Thanks! I just watched most of one video where he's saying that the US wanted to go to war with Germany and that Hitler only wanted peace. Of course Hitler wanted peace with the west - he was going East! Imagine if Britain and the US and all the other countries didn't fight in the west, and Germany happend to win over the Soviet Union. That would have left a German state in domination of the whole of continental Europe. How could this have been good? And that's just one of many things he's saying. The fact that comments were disabled in the video also says a lot too. Apparently discussion (criticism in this case) of Mark Weber is not allowed.

You must know your "enemy" first :). One of Suvorov's adepts is Mark Weber. You can find him on YouTube. Warning tho, the cringe is very very real.
