Don't touch those dials

hi there! i'm going to try to keep this brief.

to make a long and very annoying story short and slightly less annoying, i'm going through some severe burnout and i don't feel like i'm in the right state of mind to continue operating on patreon for the time being. slightly restructuring things back in september-ish didn't really do much to assuage my feelings that i don't have anything worthwhile to justify this page existing and people being charged money for it, so i'm going to take a long while and try to figure out some way to improve it. i don't really know what that entails, whether that's cutting back on the very little i already do or implement a complete refresh. i just need some time away from doing stuff on here to think about how to deal with a lot of the issues i have with my work ethic and my output. 

i started my patreon around a year and a half ago, and i thought then that i'd be able to turn it into something really successful where i could deliver work that i feel really proud of. that never really happened, but i'd like to make it do so in the future. i have a pretty awful complex about my perceived lack of reach on stuff like social media compared to my friends and peers who do this stuff and it's gotten pretty bad to the point of affecting my ability to even do creative work at all. it sucks and i'm trying to make a concerted effort to undo some of what it's done to me. hopefully, taking some time away from the obligation to make things i'm not satisfied with will help somewhat. 

i don't really know if there's some kind of concise point to all of this, but i wanted to at least inform people of what's going on. as for patreon specifically i'll shortly be uploading some stuff i posted publicly this month, as well as the art for the winners of the two polls (one is already done, still chipping away at the other). beyond that, billing will be paused until i'm ready to return to working on stuff for patron. i really appreciate everything you guys have done for me since i started this page, it's really more than i can put into words. if anyone would like to suggest anything that they think could help make my patreon more successful and/or enticing, please let me know! i really want to put my all into this once i'm back. thanks!
