Arenus - Road to Release 1#

Hey folks!

As mentioned in the last post, we sadly have to delay the release of Arenus.
Arenus will be released next month, in October.
We'll announce the exact day later this month.

We follow Larian Studios' approach in QA. This means that we want to release the game once we've played through it several times in a row without encountering a single heavy bug. 

In the following weeks we'll release several "Road to Release" posts in which we'll share new information about the game and hopefully get you folks hyped for release!

This Road to release post will focus on three topics:
Playtime, Customization, and a new NPC.

Playtime

Arenus has been in development for four years and that really shows in its playtime. For a completionist playthrough, we expect around 80-100 hours. 

Each Gladiator will bring unique elements to each playthrough and the choice of your character's gender will also impact what content you'll encounter, especially the adult type of content.

Warden Customization

Playstyle customization was a huge focus for us during the last year. You'll be able to customize all aspects of your warden. Two Genders, three designs as everyone probably knows by now, heh. But also Combat Customization and Gladiator Management customization. And yes there are three different Apartments in Arenus for you to obtain!

The Warden Skiltree is a huge part of that. Want to focus on the social aspects and management? Spend a few points in the Combat Training Tree to make combat easier. Worried about missing clues for your Gladiator? Spend a few points in the Social Training Tree.

Hope V

Hope V is the latest NPC we've added to Arenus. Together with her we added a new gameplay loop to Arenus. If you decide to work with her, you'll be able to synthesize plants and organic matter to craft special items.

She has her own questline, her own goals but like most NPCs in Arenus is purely optional and you can play through the game without even speaking to her. If you do so, be careful as your dialogue choices will impact her story.
