Arenus - Character Spotlight: Elona

Before coming to Vasdonas to join the Arena, the young Quonai studied to become a doctor at the urging of her family. After becoming a doctor, Elona spent time at the planet Mandor, a Quonai colony world nearly destroyed by the forces of Queen Dreynah.
Saddened that all her talent and skill couldn’t put a real dent in the damage done there, Elona decided to head to Vasdonas, the planet with the grand Arena. There she hopes to use the prize money to help improve the lives of her people.
She knows the road to becoming champion of the Arena will be tough, but she’s never backed down from a challenge before.
As a Quonai, Elona has bright blue skin and a set of horns on her head. These horns are very sensitive, and can even enhance a Quonai’s sensations during certain activities.
Despite her comfortable life on Mandor, Elona has journeyed to Vasdonas because at her core, she always wants to help other people. She sees becoming champion as an exciting adventure to improve her abilities, while also improving the lives of her fellow Quonai.
In Arenus’ combat, Elona adapts her precision skills as a doctor to be a marksman with a powerful blaster. Additionally, she comes into battle with her companion drone named Qimbat. Under the Warden’s guidance, the pair stand a great chance at eliminating the various enemies of the Arena.

Are you "stuck" with a gladiator once you pick them at the start of the game (so one per playthrough) or do you oversee multiple ones in a playthrough?
