State of the Game: Uprising

Hey folks,

today i'm going to tell you about Uprising, a smaller side-project we've been working on for quite a few months.

Uprising will be an episodic games with a playtime of around 5~ hours.  Depending on how you folks will like it we will produce more episodes with a minimum of two to give closure to its story. 

Unlike Roundscape, Uprising will have an action based combat system, similar to rogue like games like binding of isaac or enter the gungeon. We want combat to feel fun and fast, with many different skills and enemies to prevent it from getting boring.

Also unlike Roundscape the story will be more linear, there will be still decisions, of course also important ones that change the story but I would compare the game more to an interactive tv show.

One of the important choices to make is which "Superpower" our Hero will obtain. You can choose between super-strength, electricity control or psychic abilities.

The choice of your power will change parts of the game, how you can approach some situations and even the erotic scenes.

The Story

In the first Episode of Uprising you'll play as Chris, a barkeeper in Atlas city who's sister, Emma, just went missing.  I don't want to spoil too much about the story as it's going to be one of the pillars of the game but we want to try to keep it human and refreshing, especially since the superhero genre usually comes with a lot of "been there, done that".

Of course there will be erotic scenes in the same nature as in Roundscape. Most of them easy to encounter and a few quite hidden, if you're looking for the really kinky stuff I advice you to look for the hidden ones, haha.

Right now the game is around 70% finished with 40k words written and 8 pictures being done. We can expect a release in the very near future. I would say around 1-2 months. 

The game will be released here on patreon for all our supporters, unlike Roundscape it will be a finished build. The first build will be perfectly playable and finished.
