2025-05-26 13:47:59 +0000 UTCI would just react purely for patrons then. I can't put things that will put the channel in the YT iron sights :( :(

2025-05-26 03:09:36 +0000 UTCI think this is helpful actually and not really spoilery. Only 70 pages though??

2025-05-26 03:08:30 +0000 UTCWooah. Thats one of the weirder things I've heard about during a musical. I do like tactful commentary on a current issue when appropriate, but HATE explicit fourth wall breaks to communicate topics. Breaks my immersion

2025-05-26 03:06:05 +0000 UTCThere's a line you missed I think in the prologue that is pretty important if you're curious what this is based on "it's a complicated Russian novel/everyone's got 9 different names" Spoiler below in case you don't want to know Its based on specifically volume 2 section V of War and Peace (in total about 70 pages out of the 1300-1400 page novel)

2025-05-25 21:48:25 +0000 UTCOh man if you like a sea shanty, Idk how you'd find it, but Dave Chavkin who wrote this also wrote an almost 4 hour Moby Dick musical (with thr same director) that I got to see in Boston. One of the weirdest shows I've seen in my life (it included a 20 minute standup set about gender and race representation, a 5 part jazz song cycle about pip the cabin boy, a minor character from the novel, and a song about squeeze sperm from a sperm whale that brought the audience on stage to squeeze the props. It was an amazing show that was way way too weird to ever make it to Broadway (also it unfortunately came out right before covid)

2025-05-25 21:19:29 +0000 UTChttps://youtu.be/hD0DUDb9-hk?si=BfOsgVUN5B3026EK Here is a link to the Hunchback of Notre Dame. There is no official recording of it. And as far as I know no animatics. If you don’t want to watch something not official, you can react to the songs only and do the whole show for Patrons only? The show is mostly sung through btw

2025-05-25 21:05:27 +0000 UTCOne of my all time favorites and a massively underrated show! So excited! It's also the reason I can brag that I once "saved" a Tony award winner (from a cockroach), because I lived two doors down from Natasha (denee benton) my freshman year of college and was one of the few people who wasn't squeamish in the old ass infested building they housed us in Also my guess is people suggested this a lot during your hadestown reaction, as it has the same Director, Rachel Chavkin and both include my favorite performer on Broadway: Amber Grey (Persephone in HTown and Hélène in this)
