It personally warms my heart every time I watch this video and hear Marx's Theme from Kirby Super Star play for the 3 story sunglass hut.

I have faith in you Moose. Good luck to you.

Oh definitely, I wasn't trying to sound like I was offended or something haha. Just kind of detailing the unfortunate circumstances in which I can't really cater to a specific audience anymore since it's split. I'll look into doing something a bit more familiar soon, it would probably to be easier to write, anyway.

I totally understand, you have a huge fan base, and it's impossible to please everyone. Please don't take my comment as a criticism. Rather, just one piece of input from one of your "older viewers." If I'm being honest, you could probably read a phone book and it would be funny. Thanks for the response!

That makes sense! The downside to thinking like this is that I have ~150,000 people watching me, so the only way I could find something familiar with everyone is to stick with the cliche. I do plan on playing older games from my childhood, but I have another large group of fans who prefer when I delve into games they don't know about. Basically with a channel my size, it's impossible to please everyone. So instead of looking around for games that I feel everyone would be familiar with, I think my time is best spent focusing on making the best possible video on the game I do end up reviewing. Also it's worth noting that a lot of my fans are very young, so I can't really just bank on 90's nostalgia for 'relatable' games. People are going to end up with favorite episodes that I'll never be able to top for them, and I'm okay with that. But I still want to make solid content that people stick around for. Maybe I've been neglecting the nostalgia factor lately and I should visit something familiar next time. I'll keep that in mind when I'm looking for a new game to tackle!

I may be in a lot of physical pain, and struggling to sleep as a result. So please for give my grammar ... or maybe I just suck at words ...

On Micheal's point, it's very difficult to make something "memorable" every time, but I may have an idea of what he may mean. Don't chop my head off if I'm mistaken Michael! :) Prison Tycoon was my first video I saw of yours, and to date, it's my favorite. I really enjoyed watching you come up with different ways to screw with the inmates, and I can see a lot of ideas were taken from that video and translated to a similar game. However, I really enjoy listening to your take on some of the more well known topics. Oregon trail and Tony Hawk Ride come to mind. Don't get me wrong, Captain Bible was great! But I really enjoy you commentary on topics that I can relate with. Obviously that isn't something you can deliver on with all of your viewers on every video, but I'd be willing to bet Crisis city isn't something many of us have much knowledge of, other than ... it's not good. I'd also be willing to bet this is a video that Michael would consider less memorable. I'd love to see a video on something like the Monster Rancher series. I think a lot of us can relate with the thrill of trying to find a new monster in a copy of Mom's Road House DVD, and the mess of open CD cases all over the ground from unlocking the monster in every disc we own. Or even a look at video game themed movies or TV shows from the 90s. I'll be the first to tell you I don't know Youtube's copy right polices, so I'm not sure what is permitted and what isn't. Anyway, I've typed long enough, so I'll wrap this up. I can't speak for Michael, but for me the videos that stick with me the most are the ones on content that I already had some exposure with. I think your greatest strength is taking a topic that we are familiar with, and exposing us to it in a way that we hadn't considered before. Oregon trail sticks with me because I remember playing it in school, and you made me laugh at things I'd just skimmed past years ago. Sim Town and Bully for the same reason. Anyone can tell me why Bad Milk is a boring game, but BrutalMoose in top form can show me why content I've been exposed to in the past is funny, and in a way that I'd never considered. Anyway, sorry for the novel. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next one!

Jeremy Stroud

Thanks for listening!

Michael Snyder

Well, if you have any constructive criticism, I'm all ears! But I realize that people are always going to have favorites, and it's impossible for me to make videos that everyone likes every time. Hopefully something I make down the line can top those episodes that you like the most!

brutalmoose

I admire the work you put into these last few videos, but if I have to be honest, they're just not as good or memorable as your other videos like "Prison Tycoon 3" or "Captain Bible." Maybe it's just something that gets better with repeated viewings, I don't know...
