for the person with the late friend i’d be curious if she’s late/flakey to *everything* like work, her appointments, stuff with other friends, etc or if it’s just u? if it’s the latter then she’s not respecting your time or friendship if it’s the former it’s probably ingrained time management issues that she would have to struggle for years to change even if she really wanted to and she might not be able to fix it even if she cares about ur friendship a lot. it depends what you are willing to deal with tho

have you done a podcast or segment on tips for people just starting off in stand up? if not, i’d love to hear your takes on how many open mics to do weekly, tips, etc

My ring is a lab diamond! Conflict free, chemically identical to a mined diamond, and slightly cheaper 😏

To the person asking about fingering; read (or get it on audible) the book Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski! She also has a podcast and it has changed my life it’s the sex ed you never knew you needed and it will answer any and all sex questions and issues from the deep and traumatic to like keeping things fun with a partner - can’t recommend enough!!!

For anyone looking for an alternative engagement rings, my husband got me a white sapphire. More affordable especially if you want a bigger stone.

for the worm asking about the diamond engagement ring… there are also a bunch of brands that use reclaimed diamonds and recycled gold if you do want a diamond but that’s more ethical! basically a vintage diamond but can be a new ring. something to look into for a low waste/low conflict option :)

Message to the engineer from a 33 y/o Professional Engineer who had hired men above my age and dealt with sexism, verbal harassment in the construction field for a decade. I have to say first off, I'm sorry you are in this position and unfortunately it is unbelievably common. At 33 years old, when I look back at the harassment I endured, I recognize that there is no prize for sticking it out. I recommend #1, contact a recruiter emphasizing that you are looking for a job which has a modern culture and being honest that you cannot tolerate the sexual harassment of your current position. #2, I highly recommend therapy to process these harmful experiences, as having dedicated so much time to our field it can be very painful to be undermined by these comments, and it is important to root them out. While Ashley and Claire are experts at reading between the lines of celebrity memoirs, using your insurance to get a personal therapist will be a better long term solution.

The boyfriend that did not know his gf was out of the country is questionable…
