Rai Pal and a Universal Unity VR mod

TL;DR: Rai Pal is a tool that helps manage mods for your games, and it comes with a very early (and very broken) version of a Universal Unity VR mod I'm working on. Get Rai Pal here

It started as just a tool for myself, but now serves multiple purposes, and can be helpful for both mod developers and players.

When I find a game that I want to mod, the process of analyzing the game can be quite repetitive. It usually involves checking which engine the game was made with, checking the engine version, checking the scripting backend, checking the architecture, installing a mod loader, and finally installing a mod like UnityExplorer so I can look around the game's scenes. This helps me get a better idea of whether I want to pursue modding the game.

Rai Pal automates a big chunk of this process. It automatically detects your installed games (Steam only for now, the rest need to be added manually) then detects all the different criteria for each game. This then lets you install the correct version of the provided universal mods (such as UnityExplorer, Praydog's UnrealVR mod once it comes out, and my own Universal Unity VR mod) with just a few clicks.

Rai Pal also has a "Owned Games" tab where it does its best to detect all the games you own (also Steam only for now) of a specific engine. So you can, for instance, find all Unreal Engine games you own, install them on Steam, and then attach them to Praydog's UEVR from a shortcut within Rai Pal.

Rai Pal is still in its early versions, but it can already be quite useful. You can even just mess around with UnityExplorer in any game that supports it, just to use the free camera tool, change the time scale, etc.

Universal Unity VR

You might be aware of my old Unity VR Patcher utility, which was a tool that did just the bare minimum to add a VR camera to Unity games without needing an individual mod for each one. This new Universal Unity VR mod is still pretty much just as basic as that old tool, but I intend on expanding it to support more games and have more options. I don't expect to ever reach the functionality of Praydog's UEVR, but I'm hoping to at least be able to toggle a VR camera on and off for most games.

You can already install UUVR from Rai Pal. Just remember it's still a very early version, don't expect to be able to play any games to completion (or at all).
