Speaker Beta Update - 4/29/24

It is so, so nice to type those words again.

Hello, my dears! Long time no see. It means a lot to me to see so many of you still here 💙

A quick note about Patreon: I am going to be restarting the billing cycle starting next month, now that we're finally back on track. I didn't want y'all to get charged for it without warning 😁 I already have what will be the May update written, I just need to edit, code, and test it, so there shouldn't be much of a wait before I get that one to you as well.

But for this update:

• I have had to completely recode Chapter 4, and any previous saves from this chapter will be broken! Saves from Chapter 3 or earlier should still work fine, though (if that's not the case, let me know).

• Most of the beginning scene plays out the same as it did before, except instead of splitting off into RO-scenes, the Speaker stays and chats with Gavin and Seer for a little while. RO scenes will be taking place a little later on instead, and will be much more involved and varied.

• Please let me know if you run into any issues, especially broken code or (parentheses where there should be code) that I somehow missed.

• In particular, there's a line on the very last page where Gav suggests talking to someone. The code there is very complicated, and I'm not 100% sure I've nailed it down. Please let me know if Gav suggests someone other than the RO you've been pursuing! Or if you haven't been pursuing any (of have been chasing all of them) let me know what he says there.

• Total new word count is about 1400 words, since most of the work that went into it is behind the scenes. The next one will be significantly larger, with some fun variations and a long-awaited chat with our darling sister.
