Anonymous asked: For the patreon q&a, I was wondering if you could give us one fluffy and one spicy fact about the idle hands ros?

(I’ll put the fluffy ones here and the spicy ones in NSFW)

Mal: Can and will recite poetry to you at every available chance they get. Sometimes just a line, sometimes a whole poem. They are especially fond of Pablo Neruda, and their favorite is Sonnet XVII.

Casey: They show their love like crows do. They give you shiny things. A lot of “I saw this and thought of you” but it can be anything from flowers, to a bar of your favorite chocolate, to picking up lunch on the way home, to literally just a cool rock they found. It’s easy for things to remind them of you when they’re always thinking of you.

Ana: She likes to write love notes. Not just post-it notes (though those too, left on your computer or the bathroom mirror with doodles), but actual little letters that she’ll leave you for you to find.

Gavin: He will take any excuse to make you breakfast in bed. He also makes a couple extra plates and uses them as bribes for anyone who might try to interrupt, so the two of you can have a rare quiet, lazy morning.

Jeremiah Gigremosa asked: What was the weirdest case the twins have been on?

Besides the one they’re on right now? 😉 They accidentally solved a sixty-year-old cold case while solving something unrelated! Not a weird case, necessarily, but a weird result. It involved a long-abandoned but somehow still active fairy mound that children had been wandering into for decades and getting trapped. The children were all A) still alive, and B) hadn’t aged since they’d disappeared.

Louie asked: How are they like on Christmas? I mean ROs + Seer + Li's family (and Speaker, of course) all together for the holidays? It's the day of my birthday, so I get pretty excited and pumped haha (even though there's no snow here 😭)

The only RO that would actually celebrate Christmas is Rory. They were raised Catholic, though they’re agnostic these days, so they celebrate the Secular American Christmas.

Li’s family doesn’t technically celebrate Christmas, they celebrate “Winter” in the vague “some people in this compound are religious and some very much aren’t and we want everyone to be happy” way. There’s gifts, and food, and symbolic lighting of candles.

Azalea’s family celebrates the winter solstice, which is a major fae holiday. It involves a week of fasting, followed by a week of feasting. She also likes to string lights in her tree.

Sebastian is Jewish. Sirens don’t really have any winter holidays, so Kana doesn’t have one they celebrate.

Seer, assuming that your family is one that celebrates Christmas, loves to decorate the house! Will drape the whole house in lights if you let her. Builds replicas of your home out of gingerbread. Owns several Christmas sweaters, some of them Very Fancy and some of them Absolutely Hideous; loves them all equally.

Sonia asked: What major holidays do the ROs celebrate? And how do they do so? How would it change with Speaker and crew?

All of them would be happy to celebrate holidays that are important to each other and to Speaker and Seer! That's one of the fun parts of building a family, combining traditions! But as it is on their own:

Really, the only holidays Kana celebrates are Halloween and New Years’ Eve. They love a big party or an excuse to dress up. You can bet they’ll be dragging Speaker, and anyone else who comes along, to some amazing Halloween parties.

Liam/Lily isn’t really a celebrations kind of person, but they do enjoy the 4th of July. They won’t say no to an excuse to set off fireworks, and their family tends to host a block party with a lot of food. Spends the first half of the night eating, and the next half alternating between setting off fireworks and healing people who got careless with fireworks.

Azalea’s family celebrates the solstices and equinoxes, which are all major fae holidays, and some of them fall close enough to common American holidays that some of the traditions have been adopted (egg hunts on spring equinox, fireworks on the summer solstice, for example)

Sebastian is Jewish, as I mentioned before, and while fairly secular/non-religious these days, he at least makes sure to call his ma on holidays and tries to visit them for Rosh Hashanah every year if he can. He and his parents also try to visit each other for Thanksgiving, switching off who hosts it every year.

Rory doesn’t always keep track of time to remember holidays (they’ll get better about this now that Speaker’s part of their life 🥰), and sometimes only knows it’s one when they try to go shopping/get some food and all the stores are closed. But their favorite holidays are always the “decorations” ones - Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and to a lesser degree Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, and the 4th of July. The ones that stores put up decorations for, and especially the ones that people put up displays for in their yard. They like to drive through neighborhoods and admire the festivity.

Sonia asked: What is Dog's opinion on each of the ROs?

As it stands right now...

Azalea: She’s the best. 3rd favorite person in the world, after Seer and Speaker. She lets him sneak into her yard to sun himself in the garden and/or chase squirrels.

Liam/Lily: He’s glad they’re back. Trusts them to protect Speaker and Seer and also to not let them be too serious all the time. And he loves Angus with all his heart, which is a point in their favor.

Sebastian: Too serious, but means well. Surprisingly cuddly. Powerful enough to protect Seer and Speaker.

Rory: Rival? Friend? Both? Smells like both a person and something Else.

Kana: Keeping a close eye on them for now, but they don’t seem to intend any harm. They sing pretty.

Iustine asked: Hi Rhi 😄 Recently I learned that my Speaker carries around photos of her sis and RO in her wallet. So I just can't not ask what would ROs think if they accidently saw them 😆(pining stage because it is way more fun). And on similar note, which of the ROs would actually do something like that too? (I am mostly thinking about Speaker ROs, but I wouldn't say no to Idle Hands' ones too 😉 Thank you 🥰

Mal: They love to leave marks on their partner, and have marks left on them. Though the marks always fade from them quickly due to werewolf healing, they remember where they were and that’s what matters.

Casey: Most of the time, the only place they ever call you by name is the bedroom. It always sounds a bit reverent when they say it, a little bit like a prayer and a little bit like a plea.

Ana: She wants you to make enough noise for the both of you, and will very patiently and thoroughly coax as much sound out of you as she can.

Gavin: n/a. I’ve tried to think of spicy facts for Gav for months now, but he really has no interest in sex right now, and never has. This might change once I get into writing him properly and he starts to develop feelings for Witness, but as it stands right now, he’s too ace for this 😆

Louie asked: Does Seb like his wings?

It’s complicated. He tries not to think about them beyond the effort it takes to keep them concealed. He wishes it was safe for him to spend enough time with them to get used to them and see if he likes them, but it isn’t. (it will be, eventually, and he’ll grow very fond of them)
