Weekly Update + - 2/9/21

Woo, it's Tuesday again already! It really snuck up on me this week.

This has been a fantastic week for writing! I've finished approximately half of the branches in the next scene! I've also skipped ahead a little and got a thousand words done on the scene that comes after, to make sure all the branches will be able to end up there organically. All in all, it adds up to about 7000 words this week!

We've also surpassed the 90k total word mark! My goals for this week are to hit the 100k word mark and to finish the other half of the branches, which should happen at about the same time!

On a slightly more personal level:

I have forgotten what warm feels like. This is an actual screenshot of the temperature here last night. I made an offhand comment that I write better in cold weather and some trickster must've heard it and decided to test me 😆

for update + this week, we finally get a glimpse of Liam/Lily in their element:

$!{l_he} closes ${l_his} eyes and starts chanting in that susurrus arcane language, dark purple light forming under ${l_his} palms and up the winding patterns of ${l_his} tattoos. The air fills with the smell of ozone, a scent you’ve always associated with magic and with ${liam} in particular.

I am loving the opportunity to finally show off what the characters are capable of! All of them (including Speaker, Seer, and Dog) will get their moments to shine, and I can't wait!
